Chapter Nine: The Best News ever

My parents and Ionen were very angry on me. I immediately realized that I had forgotten to call and inform them about this.

My phone rang. I saw the name. It was an unknown number. I received it.

'Hello?' I said.

'Is this Mr. Ionen Delbis speaking?' said a male bold voice.

'No, this is Mark Nora, Ionen's brother. Can I know that to whom I am speaking to?'

'Oh, I see. It was your phone number which Mr. Delbis left before leaving the police station. I think the reason is that he wanted you to listen to this good news at first.'

'Holy Jesus! Is it General Richardson speaking?'

'You guessed it correct Mr. Nora.'

'And general, what good news were you talking about? Has Ionen got the permission to become a police agent!?' I cried in excitement. Ionen and my parents who were sitting at the sofas, were staring at me with a blank look, wondering that what happened to me.

Ionen soon revived himself and gave a smile. He had surely understood the thing. He whispered something in my parents' ears one by one and they too revived themselves and were looking with a smile at me. I don't know why but I immediately turned on the speaker.

'You,' said the General 'guessed it correct Mr. Nora,'

My parents and Ionen jumped to their feet from the sofa.

'HOORAAH!!!' we all cried together and started dancing out of joy. I truly can't express my internal excitement and joy of that particular moment. It was the best moment of my life. We soon revived ourselves and it was back to normal again.

'Well,' said the General 'I could clearly hear and feel the joy and celebration going on. But the thing is that, as Ionen doesn't has any degree, he has to earn it first. The governor will send some professional IFB agents for an interview with Ionen. Thus Ionen is requested to come to the police on Sunday around three o'clock in the afternoon. The interview will be recorded and will be sent to the head of the Russian Forces. He will decided that he is to be given the degree or not.'

I looked at Ionen, who was back to his sofa. He gave a smile and said 'Yes, am ready for it.'

'Sir,' I said 'Ionen is very excited about it and is ready to crack it.'

'Well that's a good spirit. And Good luck to Ionen. Okay Bye, a man has come here with a report. Bye!' and he hung up.

That day my parents gave us a good dinner treat at a famous restaurant near our house.

We were all very happy about it.
