04 Identity

[from this point on the story will be told in first perspective from Allie]

I can't believe what I'm seeing, the Queen, Queen Matata is standing right in front of me! I wonder what she looks like, or if she looks anything like the paintings? I best not look up though. My head'll be taken if I am to do so. Do I curtsy? I lifted my dress and dipped my head along with a slight curtsy to the Queen. As I begin to stand straight again the queen begins to talk.

"Raise your head girl." she says. Her voice was affirmative and almost frightening. I lift my head to see her beautiful face hidden behind a golden veil. The sun bounces off the golden threads intricately stitched into the veil. "Your name." she asks, staring me down. Why ask my name? You wouldn't be standing in front of me if you didn't already know who I was.

"A-Allie." I stutter.

"Full name."

"I - I don't have one, or I don't know. I've never been told." The heat is getting to me, or maybe it's nerves. I can feel my hands begin to shake.

"Your name is Allieoannah Lynninn-'' the Queen began, "the 'lost' Princess, Goddess of light. From this day on it shall be known to all that you have been found." what is she saying? I don't understand. Lynninn? That name only belongs to the Royal-Oann family. The Queens family. Goddess of light- before I could finish my thought I felt a hand upon my forehead. Then, all of a sudden there was a bright burst of light.

Once the hand was lifted off my head I could feel something was different from before. I felt a warmth, I felt a tingling, almost burning in my forehead. What had the queen done to me? Before my eyes could adjust from being exposed to the bright life I felt someone grab my arm and pull me away from the fountain.

"Wait!" I exclaimed. "I'm not! What are you doing?!"

"You are being taken to the Oanns Palace in the middle." said a man's voice.

"Wait no! I can't leave. Anna! What about Anna? I can't leave her all alone." I said frantically.

"Quiet." he said. "In." I could see slight silhouettes now, the man, a guard most likely, was gesturing for me to step into a carriage. I started up the steps slowly till the guard punched me on the back to hurry me in. without much of a choice I was seated in one of the Queen's carriages on my way to the Middle.

As the carriage began to move away from the square i could hear a faint voice call out my name,

"Allie!" I looked out the window and saw her, little Anna being held by a couple of guards. "Alliee!" she screamed. There was nothing I could do, nothing I could do to keep us from moving further and further away.

---

I sat back, my eyes began to swell until I realized I was not alone in the carriage, Queen Matata was sitting across from me.

"I can assure her safety, if that would please you." she said. This time her voice was much softer, it still held a sense of threat to it.

"Yes, it would." I started, "her own parents didn't treat her well, so I was taking her to the South with me."

"You were not to arrive in the South for another year or two, why run thee early?"

"Because Anna was being abused, I couldn't let her live in such a horrible environment any longer. I figured it would be okay…"

"And what if It wasn't?" I couldn't reply, I sat silent until she began to speak again. "How is your head?" she asked.

I didn't know what she was talking about until I remembered she did something to my head. It'd gone from 'almost burning' to an intense pain. I put my hand to be head, it was throbbing now. How had I been able to ignore it till now?

When my hand went to touch my head I didn't feel skin. It was hard and smooth. Like that of a stone.

"What have you done to me?" I asked.

"I simply exposed your stone. You've had it all your life, it had just never been exposed or used until now." replied the Queen.

"I'm not an oanna!" I said abruptly.

"You are, you were born one. You are the "Goddess of Light '' the goddess of light, I have learnt about them in school, she was also known as the lost princess. She was the Goddess of the Sun's last daughter who'd gone missing, hence 'Lost Princess'. But that's not who I am. I am… nobody. The stories we learned might've been told as legends but they were all true. Queen Matata was also known as the Goddess of the Sun. so that wound means- NO. she's not

"You're not!" my thoughts became words before i could realize it. I looked to the floor, confused.

"Yes, you're one of the Royal-Oanns, you better acknowledge it soon. We will be arriving at the palace in only a few days. As for other things, YES you are my daughter, and I will not be having some ill mannered girl by my side."

What was she talking about. Sure the things she's saying aren't true. Why wouldn't have been raised at the Oanns palace like all the other Royal-Oanns?

"Now, how is your head, I asked you before." she repeated.

My hand was still clutched to my forehead. "It hurts." I admitted.

"Well it's not going to get better, or at least not for a few weeks. You best now let it show when we reach the palace." I nodded and leaned my head up against the window and watched the outside roll past.

I hope Anna's okay, and with that I fell asleep.
