A Woman Of Great Charm

When Three returned from her work a couple of hours later, her neck ached. She massaged her shoulder with one hand as she pressed the password on her office door. She closed her eyes, ready to take a nap when she opened the door. The room was dark but empty, so she walked in effortlessly. She was just about to sit down when she felt someone in the room.

Her eyes flew open and her eyes adjusted to the darkness quickly. The first thing she noticed was the glowing purple eyes.

They looked different from the eyes of animals in the wild. They glowed with human-like sentience. She gasped and her hands went up. She found the paperweight closest to her and threw it in the direction of the eyes.

The paperweight hit nothing. It didn't hurt the person in the room, and nor did it hit the ground because she had missed it. Ladislas had flicked his hand to make it go back to where it was on the desk.

He snapped his fingers and the lights came on.
