"Well, good that you are not blaming me." She sighed. "I am really tired. And I want to wrap this up before I face the music."

Ladislas took another bite. "Are you done eating?" he asked.

She looked down at the boxes of food that had not finished yet. She was pretty full. "I don't think I can eat anymore," she said after a moment. "I feel like puking whenever I eat these days."

Ladislas looked over her, concerned. "You should drink more water, sounds like dehydration."

Anna gasped. "I had only heard people say their parents coaxed them to drink water for every problem, but you really meet the standard!" she teased.

"I am sure a lot of people would like me to be their Daddy," he quipped back.

Anna shuddered. "Don't remind me. The things I had heard people say."

"About me?" Ladislas asked.

"About what people want you to do to them," Anna said quickly. She remembered how Lewis and Marie had spoken about him and rolled her eyes.
