It's A Date Then

"Your mother wasn't completely useless, then."

Ladislas shrugged. "I could get the same ideas from someone else. There was nothing special about it."

"And when did you meet them last? Your 'family?'" Anna asked.

"Sometime last year, Agnes dropped by to take something from me. Seren hasn't shown up for a couple of years. And Kazzuz loses track of time down there. He might be listening in on the conversation at some point, though."

The idea was fantastical. "Now that I think about it… Maybe Seren died and no one knows about it." He looked puzzled for a minute. "I wonder if I should go to her house to make sure she is not a rotting corpse," he hummed.

Anna laughed. "Thank you for the comprehensive report. I can be prepared if they come," she said.

"You're welcome."

Penelope groaned. "Please change the topic."
