I Don't Pity You

"What do I do now?" she asked casually. But she was anything but casual.

"Whatever you want to do," Ladislas said slowly.

"I tried to book flight tickets to the capital but everything is sold out or too expensive—"

"I will take you there. Give me the exact location and I will take you there." He was firm in this.

She nodded numbly.

"What do you want to do?" he asked after a while. "There are going to be loads of cameras. It won't be a problem if you got caught in them—"

"Yes, it won't matter any longer, but I don't want to be caught on camera. I don't know how much information they will crack before I can locate all the devices and destroy them manually. I have only blocked everything serious for now." She was in deep thought as she spoke about the technical bits. This was easier to do than think about her feelings.

"Understood. And that is one of the reasons why you want to go, is it not?"
