Finish Zero Off

The agents deserted their suspicion of Ladislas pretty early on. When Anna came over to speak to him at the cemetery, the agents had already retreated and made their way to the Assistant Director's car. They were acting more like personal bodyguards than how they had meant to be used. Anna sat in the cafe opposite Ladislas and felt smug as she sipped on her drink.

"What bomb did you send him? He looked like he was about to die when he rolled down the window," Ladislas said with a leisurely sip of his coffee. He looked at the mug and hummed. "This coffee is really good. I'll have to see what coffee beans they use," he made a comment on the side.

"The shop is a good find," Anna agreed. "I sent him a little present to show him just how bad he was at covering his tracks," Anna said with a shrug. She didn't plan on using all the evidence she had found to trap the Assistant Director in an assassination trial. He would wriggle out of it anyway.
