The Hunter Becomes The Hunted

I had gotten out through the window just in time. Just after I was on the fire escape I heard EZ come inside the room and ask if he had heard me in there. Thank the Goddess that he didn't catch me. I didn't want to suffer those consequences.

I hurried about to the house I was staying in for the night after that close call. I was, in fact, staying in the house that EZ used to have on his parent's estate. That way I would already be where I needed to be for the wedding tomorrow.

An argument could have been made that Jacy should have stayed here since EZ was going to get her ready here in the morning anyway, but he said she needed to stay in the condo because it was closer to where they had been going for her impromptu bachelorette party.
