Alva thought most women would have died of ecstasy and elation after being told that they are the long-lost princess of a civilization. But Kari seemed to prove him wrong.
"A princess? NO. I have never been one." The sound of disgust in Kari's voice made Alva flinch. But, the blonde wasn't giving up on trying to convince Kari.
"Dustan is no liar. You know, that."
"No, I do not, and rightly so. Afterall, he hid his identity. He has made a fool out of me by announcing to the world of my—" Kari spluttered. She put a hand to her lips and shook her head. "In any case, I will not tolerate this—this madness he has concocted."
