Vernond searched for the manuals a few minutes, before finally finding both of them.
After looking through the one with information regarding what modules are installed, and what else is stored on the capsule, he quickly found the necessary details.
Grabbing down and to his left, he grabbed the toolbox with all vital things he needed and once more looked into the manual with the installed modules and so on.
As he looked through the manual he quickly realized it didn't hold the information he wanted, frowning a bit he took out the other manual and looked through the pages.
Soon he found the informations he was looking for and started rummaging through the toolbox. Pulling out a screwdriver he turned around and began taking the screws out of a metal plate behind his seat.
As the space in the capsule was really limited, he only had about half a meter around his seat with some space, before storage and other modules took the space for them.
However, after he removed the metal plate at the wall behind him, he saw a great amount of cables and motherboards, as well as other technological components.
Looking back into the manual he saw that in order to restore the power, he should at first look at the power source, after all if that was destroyed he would have no way to restore power.
Further reading through the information given, he saw that fortunately the escape pod was only powered by batteries otherwise he wouldn't have the knowledge nor the tools to properly handle a reactor or something like that.
Being relieved, he once more followed the steps shown in the manual and started working his way towards the batteries, pushing cables aside and dismounting the necessary plates and components.
A few minutes later he finally found the batteries, and was relieved to see that none of them was damaged, that meant, that the destroyed part must be somewhere else and he would probably be able to fix it.
Vernond decided to check each part while putting everything back together, therefore everything took him quite a bit but after around fifteen more minutes, with the help of the manual he finally found the part.
It was a resistor that was broken and didn't hinder the power flowing through and therefore there was no electricity flowing through the parts which needed it, but instead was going in a circle without any use.
Having repaired the power circuit, he turned it back on and to his delight it worked perfectly fine.
Because he hadn't used up that much time, only about one hour after everything was back to normal, he wasn't really struggling with fresh air, but nonetheless he felt the air getting purer by a lot which meant he must have been unconscious for quite a bit probably a few hours.
And as he had no means to check the watch he wasn't quite sure either.
"Who in the world would build an escape pot without implementing any means to check the time?" Vernond murmured and made sure to remember this until he got back, so he could complain about it, in hope it would be changed.
Having time to check the other systems after repairing the power system, Vernond once more started reading through the manual to got some more information.
However, just as he was reading, he felt the Capsule coming to a sudden stop, and nearly fell of his chair.
Shortly after the Capsule started moving again, however this time it was moving into a different direction slowly.
Wondering what's going on, he decided to focus on repairing the damaged visional system, which included cameras and sensors.
In order to do that, he once more started reading the manual, however this time he decided to skip the information which he deemed unnecessary, because he was feeling more and more pressure as time continued to flow, as the escape pod was slowly but surely accelerating.
Facing the pressure, as well as the uncertainty about what was happening, his face was grimacing a bit and he forced himself to read even faster.
After a few more minutes he finally had a rough understanding of what was going on. Having some ideas, he soon started to dismantle the metal plates as well as the other components.
Having found a cable that was ripped apart, he quickly got some stuff to repair and fixed it. All together it took him about 15 minutes to do that, and after fixing the cable he didn't even take the time to restore everything the way it was before.
The second he finished he rerouted the power instantly several screens turned on and showed him what was happening outside.
…
He looked and the monitors and instantly froze in shock.
He had never in his life seen such a sight.
In front of him was a giant mass of space nebula in bright colors, stretching as far as he could see and even though he estimated he was still a few hundreds kilometers away, he couldn't see the end of it.
However that wasn't even the beginning of it as the few sensors the capsule had showed him energy levels he thought would never be possible to achieve.
It kind of reminded him of the energy levels he saw as they encountered the strange ship some time ago, however the problem was, comparing them would be the same as thinking they could actually beat such a ship, absolut nonsense, as they were worlds apart.
It was thousands of times more powerful than even their strongest energy source.
But that wasn't even the worst he was seeing, as he could discern a shadow so massive he would've thought it was casted by a giant asteroid or something similar, but the problem was an asteroid wouldn't have such a shape.
He couldn't even see all of it because most of it was hidden inside the nebula but what he could see was what looked like the tip of their mothership from the Norsu Coalition, which was gigantic, at least tens of kilometers.
The problem however was, that just the tip was as big as their mothership, and he guessed that the ship is two or three times the size of that tip just because of how it was formed.
