However, as time went by, and he closed the distance a bit more he realized that he couldn't have been more wrong about the size, because as he got closer the tip just continued getting longer and longer, without ending.
And the longer he continued to fly forward, the worse it got. Because as he was getting closer, he realized he completely misjudged the distance he and this ship or whatever it was were away from each other. Therefore when he realized how big the ship was when he closed in, it was already too late.
However if he had to guess, he would guess alone the the tip to be a few hundred kilometers long.
Nonetheless that didn't matter anymore as by now, he was just a few more meters away from the wall.
As he looked at the screen, he wondered what would happen if he collided with the wall, but just as he was a few more centimeters away from the wall, the wall just split apart and revealed an opening leading inside the ship.
As he was watching through the monitors having a face filled with tension, he prepared his handgun as he hoped it would help him in any way.
As the capsule continued to move inside the ship, after a few more minutes it began to slow down, leaving Vernond with the feeling that he travelled a great distance but he had no way of knowing, as all the sensors went offline the moment he entered the ship.
After travelling for a few more minutes the capsule finally slowed down and the moment he did, the door simply opened, as if he had opened it from the inside.
Standing there a bit dumbfounded, he looked at the door opening further and further, fortunately he quickly regained his senses, took the pistol in his hands and took cover, getting ready for battle.
However, the moment the doors opened completely a blue shield surrounded him, sealing him absolutely and rendering him unable to do anything.
Watching helplessly as a lot of spots on the wall in front of the door opened up and turrets showed up, all aiming at him.
A second later a mechanical voice was heard.
"DROP YOUR WEAPON AND SURRENDER IMMEDIATELY OR FORCE WILL BE USED!!!!"
Watching as even more turrets extended out from the wall, and looking at the shield surrounding him, he thought shortly but quickly realized that he can't do anything, and reluctantly dropped the gun.
Shortly after the shield started moving forward, forcing him to move out of his capsule. As he saw the shield move, his eyes went extremely wide, because no technology could make moving shields, at least not that he knew of.
However, as the shield pushed him out, he was forced to focus on the new sight greeting his eyes, which was an enormous hall, at least ten kilometers (6.2 miles) long and about half of that wide and high.
By now his face was filled with utter shock at everything he saw thus far, his capsule being captured and brought here with unknown technology, the capsule being opened without even needing a second to do so, the sheer size of the thing he was in, the power levels the scanners had shown him, the moving shield and last but not least the sheer number of turrets which aimed at him.
He didn't understand anything anymore, his whole world was turned upside down, everything he saw today was believed to be impossible to achieve, at least in the foreseeable future.
And if that wasn't enough, he was brought to a room which had a strange round platform in its middle.
The platform was about five meters (5.5 yards) wide, which was about 2/3 of the whole room. And running in circles through it are blue lights, which shone brightly, however, they weren't blinding at all. Connecting the circles with each other are lines which seem like they bounce of between them.
Except for the strange platform the room was completely empty, however it nonetheless doesn't look like it was abandoned or cheap designed or anything of that sort, because the room seems like it is perfect like that and was emitting a feeling of completeness.
Looking around inside that room, Vernond wondered what was going to happen now, but quickly realized that the shield brought him towards the circle and stopped moving the moment it perfectly aligned with it.
Now standing on the circle Vernond looked around confused, before suddenly shielding his eyes, because of the extreme bright light.
The next second the light vanished and Vernond lowered his arms while opening his eyes, he was much much more shocked than before because if he was right, then what just happened surpassed everything that has happened so far.
Looking around, he once more was in a room just like the other one he was before, however this time it was decorated a bit and the doors were completely different, looking like unsurpassable hindrances no matter who you are.
Being in a daze, he simply stood there for a while before returning to his senses and realizing that the shield was gone.
Nonetheless, it didn't matter, he wasn't even thinking about escaping, unlike before because it wasn't easier now that the shield was gone, quite the opposite, because as he looked around him he saw no other exit than those doors, and he was more likely to break the shield than to breach these doors.
However, just as he was thinking about all of that, he heard a mechanical voice echoing in his room.
"Come on, go through the doors! They will open for you."
Contemplating, wether he should listen to the voice he stood there for a few more seconds.
But he soon came to the conclusion that he had no other choice, and therefore walked towards the doors.
The doors flickered lightly as he got closer, which made him realize that there actually was another shield in front of those doors, which surprisingly made him smile a bit, as he thought about what he was thinking earlier.
Walking further forward, he heard a mechanical clicking sound after which the doors opened and he was able to see what lies behind
