HPMRS CH 130: Raid and fighting!

"Wait a minute, this isn't right." Ryan suddenly muttered something since he thought the sound was a bit too loud, so he took out a pair of binoculars from his pocket and peered up at the sky, only to see more than a dozen Vertibirds flying around. Ryan was subconsciously using the magic to detect life at the time, and the magic revealed that many people were ambushing in the nearby buildings.

"Be careful, this is a trap." Red lasers burst out from the surrounding buildings as soon as Ryan's voice faded. Then, from the windows, a group of people dressed in Brotherhood of Steel uniforms appeared.

"Damn it!" Ryan exclaimed. While retreating into Diamond City with everyone, Ryan ordered the robot to act as a cover and line of defence to block the lasers of the surrounding ambushers.

However, just as they were ready to enter Diamond City, the door was shut behind them. The Brotherhood has been planning this ambush for a long time.

"What are we going to do now?" Ryan shouted towards Nate, who was hiding behind a post. At this time everyone is fighting back. Because the three parties have brought only elites with them, so far there have been no casualties.

"This is a plot orchestrated by the Brotherhood. We can't ask for reinforcements since there is a jammer nearby that prohibits us from communicating with the institute. Isn't it true that your Minutemen are in Diamond City? Why don't they just let us in through the front door?" In the middle of gunshots, Nate reacted.

"Our Minutemen has only been training for a month, and the first batch of grassroots commanders have not been trained. Except for the Sanctuary Villa and the castle, the Minutemens in other places have joined temporarily. I guess the Minutemen in Diamond City have been instigated by the Brotherhood of Steel. After all, this is a rare large gathering place in the Commonwealth" Ryan stretched out his wand and lashed down with his newly learned soul magic, soul flogging, at the members of Brotherhood of steel who were wearing heavy armors, and replied helplessly.

Soul Flogging is one of the new magic that Ryan has mastered after arriving in this world because most of the humans here wear armour or even heavy power armor. Many magics can't have their full effect on them, and the people here don't have much of an advantage when it comes to soul defence. Ryan's soul attack was the finest approach to deal with tortoises in this world: roast them from the inside out.

Ryan and Nate then shifted their gaze to Desdemona. Desdemona noticed two people staring at him hopelessly and saying: "We had already dispersed to prevent getting swept away by a net. So, even if some of us are still in Diamond City. It is also impossible to reach the individuals. We didn't identify any issues when we checked earlier. The opposite group was most certainly well-prepared."

"Well, then let's use my backup plan." After speaking, Ryan took out a flare gun and rushed into an open area, and fired three flares into the air.

The flare was specially made and flew very high. Basically, the entire Commonwealth can see these flares. The members of the Brotherhood on the Vertibird coming from a distance could also see these.

"You must be aware that the major forces on the wasteland now possess some potentially lethal technologies. We can bring out their leaders this time and get rid of them, decapitate the snake's head and leave the body in shambles, making it easier to deal with them later. We can defend our region's technology and eliminate the threat of technology exploitation this way." Elder Maxson conversed with the Brotherhood Paladins beside him aboard the Vertibird.

Suddenly a few flares slowly rose from their destination in front of them. Then there was smoke in several places on the ground, and some black spots emerged from the smoke and flew straight to the place where the flare flew in a parabolic shape.

Finally, these black spots fell into the buildings around the square in front of the Diamond City Gate and exploded. There was billowing black smoke and orange-red fires from the windows of various buildings. The radio in the Vertibird also sent a panic call: "We were hit by a large number of firepower and suffered heavy losses. Now we are in urgent need of support."

When Elder Maxson rushed to his destination, the battle was over. Only a pile of Minutemen robot ruins and a large number of casualties of the Brotherhood were left on the square.

"What the hell is going on?" Elder Maxson asked angrily while standing in front of the commanding paladin. No wonder Elder Maxson was so angry.

Except for a small team that had earlier conquered Diamond City with the Minutemen traitors, the Brotherhood members that participated in the ambush had nearly expended their forces, according to a basic check. Due to the attack just now devastated the building, causing a great number of people to perish when the structure collapsed, especially the members of the Brotherhood who were ambushing the adjacent buildings.

"No -I don't know." The cold sweat on the paladin's head rolled down, and then he stuttered: "We don't know what happened. After the flare was shot, we seemed to have been shelled and the building collapsed. Yes, The jammer that was originally hidden in the building was also broken, and then all of them disappeared with a blue flash."

"You have been dismissed now. Now take off your power armor and go to the outpost." Elder Maxson turned around and said to the paladins behind him: "We are only temporarily pushed back, but it doesn't matter. We will have it soon. Absolute strength to crush them..."

While Elder Maxson of the Brotherhood of Steel was talking, Ryan and everyone was discussing today's situation in a conference room of the house.

"I really want to thank you today, if you hadn't prepared it in advance, we would have died there," Nate said to Ryan with some fear, and Desdemona nodded.

"I simply did not believe the Brotherhood of Steel would compromise, so I ordered the Minutemen in the surrounding strongholds to use artillery to measure the parameters near the square in front of the Diamond City gate ahead of time, and if there is a problem, they will fire cannonballs to create chaos, allowing us to flee. But I hadn't expected us to be that fortunate in blowing up the jammer in the first round of the attack." Ryan expressed himself calmly.

"In this case, there is no chance of reconciliation between us and the Brotherhood of Steel. So what should we do next?" Ryan asked the other two people at the table.

This issue sparked discussion, and in the end, everyone agreed to get the beryllium oscillator in the big nuclear fusion plant first. After all, the big robot of the Brotherhood of Steel poses too much threat to everyone.

They just have to do it, because they don't know if the Brotherhood of Steel will send someone to get the beryllium oscillator. This task was handed over to Nate and Ryan because they are the only top combat powers that are battle-ready.

When being transported to the top of the large nuclear fusion plant, Ryan saw several Vertibirds flying in the distance. It seems that the Brotherhood also thought of this and acted.

Ryan ordered Nate to acquire the item, then swiftly assembled several previously prepared weapon towers on the roof, hid the generator within the home, and wired electricity to the weapon tower. Finally, each weapon tower received a notice me not charm.

After setting up everything, the Vertibird approached the roof. Ryan quickly switched on the power supply, and all weapon towers output with full power.

The five or six Vertibirds that arrived were unprepared, and they were easily shot down by the firepower arranged by Ryan. In this way, the Brotherhood of steel will not be able to catch up for the time being, and Nate will have enough time to get the things they were here for.
