Although they had studied Nymph's magic book and gained nothing, for now, Ryan and Hermione were not dejected.

After all, this is the crystallization of a part of the knowledge of a different kind of being from a different world, and it would be rather strange if they were able to learn anything in this short time.

After packing their luggage, everyone walked out of the platform, where the family was already waiting.

After bidding farewell to Hermione, Ryan got into his car.

"Dad, why didn't you bring the sports car?" Ryan was a little confused because his mother wrote to him that his father prefers to drive sports car when he goes out. So Ryan was a little disappointed to see his father driving the original SUV.

"I also wanted to, but today it snowed. Since the sports car has low ground clearance, I was worried about scratching it." Mr. Lambert somewhat depressed shrugged.

After returning home, it was naturally the mother's chattering, but Ryan felt very warm. After dinner, Ryan gave the gift he bought from Brazil to his parents.

After all, not everything in Mahogany Town is exclusively for wizards. Ryan bought a lot of gifts that can be used by Muggles.

Some wood carvings with local indigenous styles turned out to be liked by the father, while the mother preferred the purple honey produced by an indigenous magical bee. But they all praised a kind of coffee beans that were shining like the legendary food in the games. Ryan knew that this kind of coffee planting requires magic. The coffee beans are grown after special treatment and are more refreshing than coffee beans, but there is no caffeine in them like the ordinary coffee beans, thus damage and addiction is lowered.

After happily chatting till late at night, Ryan finally returned to his familiar bed and had a good night's sleep. Early the next morning, he was awakened by the knocking sound from the windowpane.

"My God, why not let people take a break for Christmas, who's knockin'." Thinking of this Ryan jumped out of bed and looked out the window, but found nothing.

"Could it be that this time I was out so tired that I am having auditory hallucinations?"

Suddenly the voice of his father, Mr. Lambert, came from outside: "Hey, son, hurry up and take a look. It seems that there is something for you."

For me? Ryan quickly got dressed and rushed downstairs to the corridor facing the door. He just opened the door, and the cold temperature outside made him shiver involuntarily.

"Here." Father greeted him with a thickly gloved hand. "I was just clearing the snow in the yard and saw this bird falling from your window. I saw that it was grabbing onto a letter and wondering if someone had sent it to you?"

"This feather duster is a bit familiar." Ryan thought taking things from his father: an owl that had passed out and a letter with the names of Fred Weasley and George Weasley written on the envelope.

"Weasley brothers should really get a young owl, Errol now looks worse than last year, maybe it'll die like a soldier or a communist, working to death." Ryan hurried back into the room and asked his mother for a basket for Errol and loaded it near the fireplace, and then unfolded the letter.

The letter first conveyed the twins' greetings to him, and then told him that they were caught by their mother in an experiment, so it is not appropriate to mail them information and materials for now. It just so happened that Ginny was going to visit Hermione tomorrow, so they could just take advantage of this opportunity to visit Ryan and take some things home secretly.

At the end of the letter, the twins said that if he is free, please reply as soon as possible.

Ryan glanced at the lingering owl shrunk in the basket, thinking that it might really kill him if he sent the letter through the poor bird in this kind of weather.

So after eating, Ryan went to Hermione's house and borrowed her owl after writing his reply.

The door opened when the doorbell rang, and it happened to be Hermione opening the door.

"Ryan, what's the matter with you coming here so early?"

"I want to borrow your Hermes for a while because I want to reply to the Weasley twins. Errol at their house seems to be unable to deliver any more letters."

"I know about this. The twins should come here with Ginny tomorrow. You can come in for a cup of tea and wait a while, and I will send Hermes to Ginny after I finish writing the reply to Ginny."

Ryan walked into Hermione's house. The overall style of her home is leaning towards cool colors, the walls are painted light blue, and the furniture is also in a similar color.

The gray sofa in the living room is placed in an L shape with a small coffee table in the middle. There is a fireplace on the wall further forward. There are bookshelves on both sides, which are full of books. There are a few small picture frames everywhere with pictures of Hermione and her family.

Then Ryan sat on the sofa drinking a cup of black tea and watched Hermione write a letter at the table in the small Hall nearby.

"Why is it that there's only you here at Christmas?" Ryan asked strangely.

"It's due to the treasure hunt last time, we made a fortune and my parents decided to expand their clinic. Today, the renovation workers said there was a problem in a place, so they rushed over." Hermione said while writing the letter.

"Where did your find workers willing to work during Christmas?" Ryan looked shocked. He had lived in the UK for so many years and he had never seen a worker who would work overtime during holidays in non-emergency services, except of course the house-elves.

"These people are from Chinatown, introduced by your father. After being paid overtime, they are more active than my parents. That's also good. It is estimated that my parents' dental clinic will be available at the end of the Christmas holiday and they can continue to operate it without closing it down."

Soon Hermione finished writing the letter and hung her and Ryan's letter on her owl's legs. Then Ryan carried the owl from the shelf to the window and let it fly. He felt that the owl seemed fatter than when he bought it, hopefully, people from Chinatown won't try to catch it for Christmas.

The owl quickly disappeared into the gray sky, and Ryan took the opportunity to say goodbye to Hermione at this time and went home.

Early the next morning, with the sound of the car, the Weasley twins got off the car and knocked on the door of Ryan's house.

"Huh? Your father dropped you here?" Ryan asked after opening the door and asking the Weasley twin brothers to come in, looking at the person in the car slowly driving away behind them.

"Of course, our mother can't stop worrying about the two of us bringing our lovely sister to London."

"It just happened that our father had to work overtime today, so she asked him to drive us over. Now he is sending our sister Ginny to Hermione's, and he will take us back home at noon."

The twins replied one by one, and Ryan took them to the living room and made a cup of tea for each of them. Today, Ryan's parents went shopping on the commercial street to make room for their son. Ryan was the only one in the house.

"Well, tell me what is the status of your research now?" Ryan asked after everyone sat down on the sofa in the living room.
