The system

When Jake woke up again he immediately noticed that something was wrong. He was not in his small and dirty bathroom, but suddenly he was in a large bathroom, which has walls made of white marble. Jake was confused by the luxury of the bathroom as he had never seen anything like it.

He tried to get up slowly to avoid great pain, but he felt nothing and so he was able to get up normally. Why doesn't it hurt me anymore? He asked himself.

When Jake looked around he was even more amazed. The bathroom in which Jake was was equipped with a glass front and from there you could admire the city from above.

Jake thought he was easily two hundred meters above the ground. Jake didn't know the skyline that was visible. He didn't know where he is or how he got here. When he turned around and wanted to go out of the bathroom to find out more about his whereabouts, his reflection opened up to him. How could that happen, Jake wondered, dismayed.

His previously black hair was still black, but a lighter, almost bluish tone. His previously demolished face, which wasn't pretty even before, now looks perfect. The perfect dimensions, the right smile, a beautiful nose.

And then there were his eyes. His previously lifeless and yellow eyes now shone with liveliness and not in yellow, but in a light gold tone.

Jake looked down at his clothes and immediately noticed the expensive designer clothes. Only the richest people could afford such a thing, but he was what it seemed at first glance to be part of them now. Which means that he could also buy suitable clothes for himself.

He looked out the window and saw the city skyline. Where am I, Jake wondered. He couldn't remember ever being here.

He found that he was in a different body. Since he couldn't undo it, he had to live with the situation. But it seemed that he had drawn a lucky ticket because his new self appeared to be rich and good looking.

He looked around for the black cube to which he owed the whole thing, but he couldn't find it anywhere. It can't just have disappeared like that, Jake thought to himself.

He was just walking out of the bathroom when he suddenly heard an unfamiliar voice in his head.

What is it? Jake wondered.

[I am your system]

"Ahh it speaks to me!" Jake exclaimed, startled.

[Calm down boy, I'm here to help you. If you have any questions about your current situation, please ask now]

Jake didn't have to think long, he shot straight off with his questions: "Where am I, what are you, who am I, what happened ...?"

[Take it easy, one question after the other, first of all we are still on your home planet, just in a different Part of the city]

[You are still you, but in a different body, since your old body was no longer usable for the God gene system]

[As I said, I am the God Gene System and my job is to shape my host into a god]

Jake was still a bit confused, but he first believed the system and tried to open his status. Open status, he thought in his head and immediately a transparent screen appeared in front of his face.

Jake looked at his status and was amazed at the many things it had to show. He especially noticed the strength point and the last one with only question marks. Am I really just that weak? He wondered as he looked at his four strength points.

He asked the system "Am I really that weak and how could I possibly improve my strength?"

The system answered him with:

[Yes, you are really only that weak, almost as weak as a toddler]

[You can improve your strength either by training naturally, or by status points that you get by completing quests, or by leveling up]

[Level up also increases each status by one]

Jake didn't have to think long to decide to use his remaining status points for strength first. As soon as the two points were added, Jake immediately felt a surge in his strength and he wanted to test it out immediately. Just as he was about to start hitting a wall, Jake got a system notification.

When Jake saw the quest, he was pleased about it. One way to become stronger, only through such tasks, he thought to himself. It seemed a little too easy, but Jake didn't mind now.

He went through his apartment, which apparently belonged to him and was amazed at the size of it. The apartment was easily ten, if not twenty times bigger than an old apartment. The equipment was also very luxurious and very futuristic. The walls and most of the furniture were kept white and there was nothing unnecessary in the room. Very minimalistic as Jake thought.

He went into his bedroom and opened the door to his closet. But to his astonishment, there was no closet behind the door, but an entire room with clothes.

Jake rummaged through the clothes and noticed that they were all luxurious clothes by exclusive designers and most of them weren't even off the price tag.

When Jake saw the prices, he was startled. As much money as one of these items of clothing was worth, he had never owned in his whole life together.

He grabbed some workout clothes and began to work off his quest. Even his sports gear was worth a fortune, but Jake had better things to do than worry about it.
