The Way to The Spider Queen
Adam, Layla, and Salma headed towards the Great Snake's Den.
Once they were in front of the tunnel, they froze in place for a bit.
"We're going to make it really angry you know?" Adam said. He wasn't sure of the necessity of this.
"Let's go," Layla said as she walked in.
Adam and Salma looked at each other before following her.
Once they were close to the exit of the tunnel, they could see the Treasure Chest.
"It's sleeping, I can feel it," Salma whispered.
They popped their head out of the tunnel and directly looked at their left.
The Great Snake was sleeping at the same place as before.
Layla and Salma turned their head towards the eggs. Adam kept watching the snake in case it opened its eyes.
There were dozens of eggs forming many rows. The closest ones were 10 meters away.
"Alright, do it," Layla told her sister.
Once again, a fiery bow appeared in Salma's hand.
She pulled its string and an arrow appeared between the string and the bow.
'I'll use all of my Mana Points.'
The arrow made of fire was very bright.
Layla got scared for a moment, but the Great Snake was still sleeping.
Salma took aim and focused.
The goal was for her arrow to hit an egg that was surrounded by other eggs so that the explosion that occurred would destroy as many eggs as possible.
She let go of the arrow.
Just as the arrow started flying in the air, the three of them ran away from the tunnel.
The arrow, although not perfectly aimed, still hit the egg Salma wanted to hit.
The explosion that followed destroyed everything in a three-meter diameter, but the flames expanded a bit further than that.
The explosion itself destroyed six eggs and burnt three nearby snakes.
As Adam, Layla and Salma were exiting the tunnel from the opposite side of the Great Snake's Den, they felt the ground shake.
They heard a great roar that made them all tremble, especially Salma with her acute hearing.

Salma didn't care one bit.
They all focused on running away from the great monster, and towards the place populated by spiders. There at least, they stood a chance to survive.
Once they got to where the spiderweb wall had been previously, they stopped running and looked back.
They could still hear the monster's roar, but it couldn't leave its den.
They sat down with their backs against the wall.
"That was wayyy too stressful. Was it worth it? Did you level up?" Adam asked while taking in deep breaths. His hand was lying on his chest.
"Yes...Twice...I used..all of my...Mana.." Salma had the lowest Endurance Points, she was exhausted.
"That's great to hear. Let's rest for a bit before continuing. Let's see your stats." Layla said.
"Kalya...Show us...Stats.."

Salma and the others stopped talking for a bit to recuperate their endurance.
"I guess I should put one point in Magic Affinity and five in Mana right?" Salma said once her breathing stabilized.
Both Adam and Layla nodded.
Salma told the System to do so.

"Yess! I'm too amazing!" Salma jumped around. "Why aren't you super excited?"
Adam and Layla looked at each other.
"We are, it's just, your Magic Affinity went from 10 all the way to 39 without you getting a Skill, it was pretty obvious you'd get one now. And for Mana well, that's very cool too." Layla said with an apologetic smile.
"But come on! Let's see what they do!" Adam said cheerfully.
"Kayla, show us what those are about..."
She expected to be lifted from the ground and spun around like before.

"Burn Effect?" Salma asked.
[ Burn Effects are negative effects related to being hit with a fire attack. The target will lose Health Points until the Burn Effect is gone. The Burn Effect is active as long as the target's body is burning.]
"Salma, you're becoming way too strong. You have five Skills now!" Adam excitedly.
"I knoow, what would you do without me?"

"Looks like they love you." Layla pointed out after seeing the messages that popped in front of her.
"Obviously. Everyone does hahaha" Salma said while laughing.
They sat down and exchanged some words for about two minutes.
"Alright, my Mana and Endurance are both full," Salma said as she stood up.
The two others also stood up.
"Layla, try using this too." Adam handed Layla the Iron Mace he got from Salma.
Layla took it. She had gotten a lot stronger and could hold one Iron Mace in each hand.
She tried swinging both of them a few times and it felt surprisingly good.
Her Strength Stat was now at 24 and her Dexterity Stat at 26.
"Somehow this feels better than using one of them," Layla said.
"Ohhh you look so cool," Salma told her with shiny eyes.
"You'll be able to perform combos more easily, plus instead of slamming one mace with two hands, slamming two of them would probably do more damage. If it feels natural then that's perfect." Adam said.
Then he looked at Salma.
"Unequip the necklace," Adam said.
He then opened his Storage and took out the Goblin Chief's Necklace before handing it to Salma.
She took it and looked at Adam.
"Can I really take it?" She asked.
"Sure. You have the lowest Health Points here, and this one increases those by 200. We'll feel more comfortable if you have it." Adam said with a smile.
"Are you sure? Ummm, thanks. Equip."
The necklace made of feathers appeared around Salma's neck.
The feathers were of different colors, mostly black and red.
It went well with her red hair.
"Do you have anything that would make my Sense Stat higher?" Layla asked.
"No, but I do have this cloak. Take it, it'll make you harder to notice in the dark." Adam was about to hand her the cloak.
Layla declined his offer before explaining herself.
"Thanks, but it'll be more useful on you. I have higher Agility, so I can move around faster. But with your Stealth Stat, you'll be able to make lots of damage without putting yourself in danger. Depending on the enemy, I could run around and get its attention while you get rid of it before it even notices you."
Adam agreed, but he didn't like the fact that he would be harder to notice by the enemies. He felt like he was putting the others in danger.
Layla noticed that and said jokingly
"You're just gonna have to get rid of the enemies before we get in danger."
"I'll do my best haha." Adam answered.
They continued walking further and further.
"Now that I think about it, my Explosion Skill would make it easy to destroy the snake eggs," Salma said with her hand on her chin.
"True, but it's still an unnecessary danger. If we're not strong enough to finish this now, we'll have to escape and go back. If so, we might go back to see those eggs." Layla answered.
"Oh, that reminds me." Adam bought 10 Light Mana Potions and handed them to Salma.
She accepted them gratefully.
They kept walking.
Once they arrived in front of the two big tunnels, they stood there for a bit.
They were getting ready to face the Spider Queen.
