King Edric returned to his chamber after having a chat with his brother that had gone really wrong. Without saying anything, he walked towards a single couch and sat there for a while.

His wife who was observing him since he entered the chamber, finally walked to him and sat on the armrest of the couch where he sat.

"What's wrong, Edric?" she asked him in a calm voice. However, the expression on her face proved that her husband's strange behavior made her worried.

The King maintained his silence, wondering what just happened. "I thought that Karium was getting better. I even believed that he recovered but... I was wrong, Eliana," he sighed. "What he told me tonight... those things never crossed my mind."
