Chapter 3 - novel

Read the Author's note at the end of the chapter.

[Immortal Taoists]

[Sages of the olden days are forgotten, and only the great cultivators are famous for all the time.]

[Millions of cultivators out there are chasing for thousands of ways to Tao, but most of them lost their directions.]

[Clean the body, detach the world, absorb the Qi, and enlighten the Tao.]

[When you finally reached the Tao, you can talk about the vicissitudes of the world and detach the cycle of life.]

As the intro popped out, Ling is certainly that the system is an idle game from the past. He also played the game in his past life. The game is a time-consuming game like a cultivator, who cultivates for a long time to receive an unimaginable prowess. The player will put his time to cultivate just like others. Fight with the immortal beasts and other humans, mating with beautiful fairy-like girls, refine alchemy pills and godlike treasures and so what so forth.

In the early patches of the game, the F2P players will have to fight with the beasts and immortals while cultivating harder and also drooling for the Spirit Jades that they get from opening Nochi Packs as many P2W or so-called whales are buying Spirit Jades just to buy [Mantras], [Sutras] and [Resources] needed in the cultivation.

But as the game progresses from time to time, the improvements of the game are significant. They brought such events that can help the person some [Resource Materials], the ad videos have those tickets that can be redeemed in any kinds of things the person wanted, they also brought the PVP where the P2W players are excelled at and making their blood boil.

Ling played it for a while in his past life and was having a good time playing the game while he is working on the customer service since it is an idle game and cultivation game on top of that.

After his deep thinking, Ling decides on the task at hand.

However, Ling felt a severe amount of dizziness as his soul is gradually being sucked out of his body and teleporting from an unknown place.

'Aarrgghh! What the hell is it now?!" Ling complained and wanted to puke.

After a moment of dizziness, Ling sensed that his feet landed somewhere and regained his senses immediately.

'Is... This the world inside the system?"

Ling's intense dizzy expression gradually changed into a shocked one as he opens his eyes to discover the majestic mountains, clouds fluttering in the blue skies, and an unending stream of water in the river filled with mysterious energy. The scenery is one of the best things he has ever seen in his entire life as Ling felt that his blood is boiling in excitement and curiosity.

As Ling is finished observing the beautiful sight, he noticed that he is on the slate where the cultivators cultivate and the scenery looks so familiar to him, reminding Ling of something.

"So this is the world inside of the system,"

Ling easily solved the puzzle. The beautiful mountains and clouds are the background of the cultivator inside of the game as the interfaces flooding on different sides of the screen.

"Speaking of interfaces, where are th— wtf?!"

As soon as Ling said it, the interface popped out in his face, shocking him but sooner recovered from the surprising interface. Ling inspected the interface from top to bottom.

The user interface is like the phone of the past but it is transparent and can be only touched by Ling himself. At the top, there are only [Market], [Heaven's Position], and [Immortal Market]. Meanwhile, in the bottom part, there are only [Cultivate], [Inventory], [Dwelling] and [Explore]. Making Ling began to ponder for a second until found the answer with ease.

"Ah, now I know,"

"Those removed interfaces are tied to the interactions between another player. So in the easier explanation, they got removed since they can be linked to another person," Ling mumbled as he described it vaguely.

The system is only for Ling while the Immortal Taoists game that the mysterious system tried to copy is an idle game with some PvP. It can be furthermore based on the rankings of players. Although there's just a little interaction, it's still interaction.

As expected, there is a man in the middle of the screen that looks like Ling himself and is seated in a lotus position, seemingly waiting for Ling to do something as the man is staring back at Ling, making Ling felt the chills in his bones. There is a big blue button in the middle of the man with the words, Cultivate.

"Okay! Let's do this" Ling stretched his 'hands' and excitedly pressed the button.

In an instant, Ling felt magical energy surging through his body, giving Ling the ecstatic feeling in his mind as it wakes every inch of his cells, tissues, muscles, and organ to the fullest. His physique and face are getting better as the mysterious energy called Qi is awakening the Meridians of Ling, who felt his senses are getting stronger and his blood flows increased. In a few moments, Ling gradually adapted from his constant absorbing energy.

Qi Gathering I

Cultivation Base: 3/11

Efficiency: 3~6

After the KreyGasm Ling felt, he discovered that there are some numbers in the bottom and expected them to pop up in the middle as Ling began in deep thinking about the maths of his broken system.

(I fucking hate numbers. That is such a ResidentSleeper)

Ling concluded that he will stack the cultivation base when needed after his thoughts reached the verdict with ease.

"you can't become a lowkey when you are so powerful but I can't go adventure if that's the case. Ah, fuck this! I'm just gonna try to adapt once I've gotten the important info I needed," Ling mumbled with a troubled expression, plastered in his face.

Being lowkey is such a troublesome task.

Even some novels of the past are like that, they wanted to flaunt their prowess until they got offended by that one elder guy and Tadah! Courting death in action.

After that, Ling recalled all of the previous Ling's memories and got depressed as soon as he remembered the story of His Grandpa's story, The Unsung Song of Wars where the story began in the distant past, Immortals waged war against all the beings of the race and they began conquering their weaker version, Humans, who sensed their impending doom and created an alliance as the inhabitants of the universe also joined in and also feel threatened by the unmatched powers of the Immortals.

The war is hard-fought but in the end, the Immortals got pushed back into their homeworld as the Allied Troops toppled and ransacked nearly 25% of the Immortals' Treasury. There are various gems, exotic herbs, and pills including the cultivation techniques which the humans coveted while the other races also craved the mystical techniques.

The Humans wanted to modify the Immortals' techniques and create into their unique cultivation techniques while the other races also tried what the humans wanted to do.

The humans succeeded in creating the technique called "Energy Breathing Technique" which can absorb energy particles as the Immortals do but in the form of breathing.

Of course, there are similarities and differences between the two cultivation techniques. The Breathing Technique must be operated in a lotus position with the deep focus like the Immortals but the absorbed energy that the technique collects will be the focus on the body, unlike the Immortals.

Furthermore, it increases the human's strength, senses, overall prowess, and general attributes by 3 times, much stronger than the Immortals' cultivation techniques.

But due to humanity's physical and mental limitations, other races have certain advantages such as Beasts that had innate prowess the moment they are born and Elves that had an inherent capability by having a close relationship with the Dao of Nature.

Due to other races' avarice and greed, the Allied Troop disbanded with hostility to each other ever since they created their unique cultivation.

And that's the end of the story.

Hey, readers. This is not a sponsored novel by Immortal Taoists.

I just wanted the auto-cultivation thingy. Nothing else more.

For Immortal Taoist crew, Baka naman. Just kidding.

This chapter is just a story and I will tell the reasons the ins and outs about why Neo-Cultivation is better than the Immortals' Cultivation in another chapter I guess.
