Chapter 4 - 1 star

Ling had a mixture of dejected and gratefulness since the Immortal cultivation cheat that he had obtained and known is not kinda broken anymore but he is thankful that he received the system and transmigrating into the world of excitement and danger.

Eventually, he decides to put out his place and concentrate on the system for now as he clicked the interface [Cultivate].

"???"

Instantly, the interface panel changed but it's quite different. The interface Ling sees is not the same case when someone opened the [Cultivate] feature. Instead of a [Spiritual Root] at the start, it redirects to the [Skills] since the [Spiritual Root] feature is not in the category of properties inside the [Cultivate] shit.

There are only [Skills], [Talisman Soul], and [Meridians] which makes Ling perplexed by the removal of the [Spiritual Root].

"Hmm..."

"Why did the system removed the roots? As far as I know, the Spiritual Root doesn't have any kinds of connections to ads or such things that can interact with the player to player thingy," Ling's curiosity is piqued because the [Spiritual Root] is one of the main damage amplifiers of his system, making Ling dejected with some questions and inquisitive thoughts at the nerfs.

"Since the [Spiritual Root] is gone, how can I open [Dwell— Ah, fuck it. Let's click it to see if it works or not," Ling got another doubtful question in his mind but he got informed in a second.

'The system will never give me some kind of useless feature,'

Ling clicked the [Dwelling] with good expectations, written on his face.

The moment Ling clicked it, the interface didn't give him a warning that he is not authorized yet. Instead, the surroundings around Ling changed quickly into a Chinese old-looking village with imperial-like houses in the past that are so aesthetically pleasing and nostalgic in a sense as the magical energy is swirling around the mountains in the back of the village, supposedly giving the village beautiful scenery.

"Luckily, my assessment is right or else..."

After the feastful sight, Ling heaved a sigh of relief and excitement since the estimations he calculated are correct at this time.

The [Dwelling] is one of the broken features of the system. Here, the user can create immortal weapons, concoct god-like pills, and study a great way of Tao but the [Fate] interface is gone since they are robots inside as Ling doesn't seem to like it too.

Although he knows that certain features will be unlocked by cultivating in the corresponding level, Ling pressed the [Alchemy Furnace] feature with the expectations that it will likely fail.

[Reach Foundation Establishment first]

The system notified him as Ling without a doubt glanced and clicked straight towards to go into the 2 unrestricted areas since the other features will be unlockable sooner or later. He clicked at the [Spiritual Mountain] first.

The moment the interface popped out, Ling noticed and expected that the wood and iron resource at the bottom is now gone because of the [Spiritual Root] removed by the system.

"The wood and iron resource are gone but how could I build the [Alchemy Furnace] and other building... I guess the system will provide some sort of unknown things to rebuild these features," Ling mumbled as he decides not to think deeply about it.

The [Spirit Stones] of the system can be only used as a currency in the [Market] for buying things such as [Skills], [Pills], [Blacksmithing Plans], and so forth as it can't be used in cultivation that has been seen in the novels. While the [Food] is used in [Explore] as a moving mechanism of the game. These two resources are some of the best because the wood and iron resources are gone now. As for the apprentices, they needed to be put inside of the production to produce the resources. The apprentices are non-existent so there's no need to worry about it.

Ling didn't ponder for so long and decides to distribute the 2 apprentices in both Spirit Stone] production and [Food] production to start the farming resources.

As for Ling, he clicked the back button on the top as there's nothing to be done there and the [Wine Cellar] can wait sooner.

[Breakthrough?]

Noticing that the 5 minutes had been passed, Ling click spammed the breakthrough button to the fullest as the energies surrounding Ling surges through his body quickly as if there's flooding water while his soul is continually absorbing it.

Ling felt the surreal and mystical energy gathering inside of his soul and constantly nourishing him to a certain degree.

After a minute, Ling sensed that the energy gradually calms down and glanced at the interface.

Ling felt his blood boiling in enthusiasm as he checked his body, clenching his palms and stretching his body, noticing the changes in both physique and soul.

Although he didn't particularly felt the changes in his body, he still has the mystical energy flowing inside of his body as Ling's soul had those calming sensations that ease his mind mildly.

"Log out!"

Realizing that there are no things to be done, Ling headed back to his body as the [Explore] and many features will be discussed later at night.

His soul felt the sucking sensation again as the surroundings around him are getting darker, eventually blanking his mind.

"???"

"Why am I floating?"

As his soul is back in his body, Ling felt someone is dragging his body and slowly opens his eyes to see that his Grandpa and the siblings are tugging him slowly somewhere with a sweaty and exhausted expression on their faces.

"Brat, are you awake now?" Grandpa Rudy lightly tapped Ling's cheek as Grandpa heard a quiet voice coming from Ling.

"Brother!" The three siblings followed and hugged their brother after they noticed it.

"Where are we going?" With clarity slowly restoring his mind, Ling responded.

"What do you mean by that?! Of course, we are going to the doctor! You brat! You are always hiding something from us even though we are just here!" Grandpa Rudy's patience waned off as the rage that is in the bottleneck is now unleashed as the words of him spewing facts unto Ling.

The siblings lightly nodded with fiery expressions depicted on their faces.

"Uumm... I'm fine now?" Ling didn't know how to respond since he didn't have any kind of that issue in the past as the other Ling's sins was been passed onto him.

"Cut your bullshit! We are going no matter what!" Grandpa Rudy insisted and pulled him into the corridor, making a ruckus in the place.

"I'm alright now grandpa, let's go home. I don't want to make a scene here"

There are familiar faces such as Beasts, Machinas, and Humans murmuring around them but Ling didn't wonder about it as he tried to defuse Grandpa Rudy's resentment by controlling the Qi in his body, redirecting the Qi inside his veins soothing Grandpa's both mind and body.

Although it's a little bit power gaming move to do it in your relatives, even the readers will not be able to defuse the situation with family members' anger popping out. So in the face of these kinds of situations, Ling employed a strategy that will surely calm them.

Somehow, it worked for a moment.

Grandpa Rudy felt his body and mind are calming to a certain extent when he pulled Ling's arms as he looked at Ling in shock and fervor since he knows what kind of mystical something is directly flowing in his veins and relieving his anger with ease.

"Gramps? Can we go home now?"

Ling helplessly said to his Grandpa as the siblings are puzzled about their grandpa's expressions.
