Ryu's POV

I blasted towards alternate Ryu and our swords collided creating a huge explosion. I kicked alternate Ryu as hard as I could, hitting his stomach. He flew into the sky and I saw him crash into a few ships.

"Aiden! Aneko! Get inside the portal!" I yelled

But before I was able to make a portal alternate Ryu forced the ground under me to break and a whole wave of lava came out. I jumped up to avoid it and I used my wind and split the lava apart. I blasted towards myself and when I got close I punched his fist and the impact created an explosion.

I watched as the city under me turned to dust. Luckily I saw Aneko get into a sewer with the others so she's safe. Alternate Ryu came and began swinging his sword as fast as he could. I stopped time and began slashing him everywhere but he was also fast. He sliced my chest but it healed in less than a second. I uppercut his chin and created a portal on top of him. He went through and came out underneath me.

I punched his back so hard he went crashing into the remains of the city. I lifted up my arm and created a giant fireball with lightning and threw it at him. But suddenly it just disappeared and my eyes widened when I saw that alternate Ryu just absorbed it.

'Shit.'

He swung his arm and the fireball I created came out of his hand but this one was bigger and the fire was black. I created a magical shield in front of me and blocked it. I used my telekinesis and forced the fireball to fall back towards him. But then an alternate Ryu came out from behind me and my eyes widened. He swung his sword but I vibrated myself so fast that the sword went straight through me.

'Wow, Aneko's technique worked.'

"You're pretty good." said alternate Ryu

That's when both of his eyes began to glow red.

'His Matrix eye is red?'

Suddenly the earth began to tremble and it exploded into multiple pieces. My eyes widened so I stopped time and I grabbed everyone inside the sewer and blasted off somewhere safe.

"Shit that was close." I growled when I stopped at some desert

"Are you sure you could handle him?" asked Aneko

"No, he's toying with me." I replied

I looked over to the kpop stars and the two other girls I bumped into earlier.

"Korea's evacuated, the MVA is here." said Aneko

Before I could say anything my Matrix warned me that alternate Ryu and his MVA fleet was heading over.

"Get through the portal." I said

I created a portal and Aneko grabbed Hannah and everyone else into the portal. I created a storm on top of the fleet and struck all of them with lightning. They began to either blow up or fall down towards the ground.

I grabbed the back of Aiden's shirt and quickly entered the portal into our MVA fleet. I shoved Aiden onto the floor and a bunch of Seekers came and grabbed everyone who came through the portal.

"I thought I told you to tell the MVA fleet to stay back." I said to Aneko

"She didn't tell us, we just came."

I turned and saw Kurt with Lydia, Kishimoto and Ada behind him.

"What the hell's going on? We saw you fighting yourself." said Kurt

I grabbed Aiden and picked him up.

"I'm just as confused as you are." I replied

Their eyes widened and Ada covered her mouth.

"Kurt..." whispered Aiden

I shoved him and all the Marines and Seekers around me aimed their weapons at Aiden.

"We'll interrogate him later. Get these people in here into the refugee bay." said Kurt

"Except for her." I pointed at Hannah

Hannah looked at me but she was in shock so I healed her.

"Ryu..." she whispered

"I can't detect the Matrix in her." I said

"Then why did you bring her?" asked Lydia

"Cause Aiden said she has it." I replied

"You trust Aiden?" asked Kishimoto

"I don't trust anyone but what choice do I have right now?" I asked

"Either way, Ryu you broke another law so-"

"Sir, with all due respect he saved lives today. If it wasn't for him, Aiden would be wandering around clueless and the other Ryu would have killed Hannah." said Aneko

"She's not wrong." said Lydia

Kurt sighed and scratched the back of his ear.

"Fine, take care of Hannah." said Kurt

He and the others left so I helped Hannah up.

"It's been long." I sighed, "I didn't expect us to see each other again."

She looked at me then around.

"Ryu, what's going on?" she asked

"I'll explain everything." I said

She looked around and grabbed my hand.

"Can I see my friends?" she asked

"Sure." I sighed

I led her to the refugee bay with Aneko. We got there and there were hundreds of people doing their business.

"Follow me." I said

I walked through the bay, everyone here was confused, tired, sad or scared. A lot of mixed emotions and it was making me feel almost sad for them.

"There." I said

I pointed at her kpop group and she ran up to them and they started to cry and talk.

"Yaa what's going on!"

I turned and I groaned when I saw the girl with short green hair from before.

"What's going on? What happened to our home?" she asked

My eyes widened when she started crying.

"Uhh something happened." I replied

"Soojin?"

I looked over and I saw a boy, I think in his young 20s. I scanned him with my Matrix and his name was Shin Shiho.

"Shiho oppa?" gasped Soojin

"Are you okay? I got worried-"

The ship jerked and everyone screamed but I just rubbed my eyes.

"Another malfunction?" I asked Aneko

She nodded.

"Oi oi take a seat, you can't leave." I told the girl name Soojin

"What do you mean? You didn't-"

"Soojin calm down I'll uhh talk to him." said Shiho

He turned and bowed which confused me.

"Oi oi you don't have to bow." I replied

"Oh well I'm sorry but I was wondering what happened?" he asked

"If I explained it to you wouldn't under-"

"Ryu... please explain it to us." begged Hannah

I sighed and took out a cigarette.

"You smoke?" questioned Hannah

"Yea, anyways..." I sighed

I turned and looked at her.

"There are multiple earths, some are similar, some very different, but there is not a single earth where they are the same. So just know that there are a bunch of different dimensions." I said, "There are other Hannahs just like you but they live on different earths. We just call this entire system the multiverse."

Everyone who was listening had their eyes wide open.

"Don't believe me?" I questioned

"No... it's just that... were you a part of this the whole time?" asked Hannah

"No. I was part of this a couple years ago." I replied

I saw more girls appear and they were all over Shiho.

'I guess they're all his friends.'

"You're lucky I found you." I sighed

"But why am I part of this?" she asked

I closed my eye and when I reopened it my left eye started glowing and she backed up a bit.

"Have you ever seen this?" I asked

"N-no I never did." she replied

I deactivated my eye and sighed.

"Anyways, that Ryu you saw before I saved was not from this multiverse. He was after you for a reason and that's cause you have the same power I do. Just like how you saw my eyes change." I said

"No, I don't want to be a part of this." she whispered

"Neither did I." I replied

I scanned her but I still didn't get anything so I wanted to try something.

"Give me your hand." I said

Hannah hesitantly gave me her hand so I burned her hand. She screamed in pain and jerked away and clutched her hand in pain.

"What the fuck!" yelled Hannah

"Look at you hand." I said

She looked at it and her eyes widened when she saw that it was all healed.

"How did you know that?" asked Aneko

I just shrugged.

"Instincts?" I questioned, "Let me know when you're ready to learn more."

The ship jerked a bit again and everyone screamed and got nervous.

"Uhh let's go for now." I said to Aneko

She nodded and we left the bay and headed over to the interrogation room.

"Oi your hoodie is ripped." said Aneko

"Oh, I didn't notice." I replied

I used the Matrix and it sewed back together all by itself. We entered the interrogation room, Kishimoto, Lydia, Kurt and Ada were all in there. Ada was staring at Aiden through the screen and I read her emotions, she was feeling sad and wished she could just talk to him. My heart sank a bit and I felt a bit miserable.

"Ryu do you mind interrogating him?" asked Kurt

"No, I wouldn't mind." I replied

I left the room and entered the room next door where Aiden was stuck on the laser bed.

"Are you going to interrogate me?" asked Aiden

"Yea." I replied

I took out a cigarette and started smoking.

"Tell me about your multiverse." I said

"It's gone." he said

"I know." I replied, "Your Ryu told me."

"He's the one who did it." replied Aiden

I looked at him and raised an eyebrow.

"Ryu destroyed it all, he thought that's how recreating worked but he was wrong." said Aiden

"Recreating what?" I asked

"Recreating his multiverse." said Aiden

"Can't he do that with his Matrix?" I asked, "I destroyed my multiverse once but I revived everything."

"He cast a spell that utterly destroyed the multiverse and now, it's irreversible." said Aiden

"And why did he come here?" I asked, "To make up for his failure?"

"Yes." replied Aiden

"So he needs my Matrix, Hannah's Matrix and the one in Earth Prime." I said

"Precisely, if he gets his hands on all three it's game over." replied Aiden

"What exactly is he going to do?" I asked, "Cause if he's trying to revive his multiverse then that doesn't sound so bad."

"He only wants to revive it because he believes that he was born to rule the multiverse." replied Aiden

I looked over to Aiden.

"Right, not the first time I heard about this." I chuckled

"Ryu this isn't laughing matter." said Aiden

That kind of pissed me off so I used my Matrix and began to slowly make his body disappear.

"Wh-what are you doing?!" he gasped

"Right now I can't determine if I could trust you." I said

"W-wait I already told you everything I know!" he yelled

"Give me one good reason why I should let you live." I said, "You have 10 seconds or you're wiped out of existence."

I felt someone run up to me from behind so I used my telekinesis and froze that person. I turned around and saw a blade, Ada's purple blade right at my neck. I looked at her and she had a pissed off look on her face.

"Oh you're sad that I'm killing someone you loved?" I teased her

She grit her teeth.

"You know... I'm going to disregard your feelings just like how you disregarded my feelings." I whispered

I turned back to Aiden.

"Time is ticking." I said

"Ryu this is what the alternate Ryu wants!" he yelled, "This was all part of his plan!"

I raised an eyebrow and stopped making his body disappear.

"What do you mean?" I questioned

"Since both of you have the Matrix the one who has the most will be able to manipulate the other." said Aiden, "He's manipulating you and you don't even know it. This isn't a battle to determine which side stays. You're only fighting yourself."

"I know I'm fighting myself." I sighed while rolling my eyes.

"No you're fighting your other half!" he yelled, "This is a fight against your own conscience."
