CHAPTER 42: BIRTHDAY BANQUET 6

[I still find it difficult to believe that people like Arianna exist. To think she's still acting high and mighty in this situation. I, too, am embarrassed by her.]

[The same applies here.]

[Shameless.]

The person under attack smiled coldly as she looked around the hall at every single person. She even noticed that the elders who remained on the first floor pretended not to notice anything.

Because this was a banquet for Nadia, the first floor was filled with children while the elders were entertained elsewhere. However, a few people did not leave the first-floor hall because they wanted to mingle with the youth.

These were people who should be able to tell the difference between what is wrong and what is right, and yet here they were, supporting the hooligan and assisting in Arianna's ambush.

Arianna's cold gaze finally fell on the pitiful girl who had elicited everyone's sympathy and she walked slowly towards her.

The girl's heart was racing as she stood frozen in place as Arianna approached. When she and her friend were summoned by the veiled lady, it had all been a ruse. They were given strict instructions to create a scene and frame Arianna on the spot.

Their mission was to tarnish Arianna's reputation, and if she could make Arianna act haughty and arouse everyone's wrath, her rewards would be abundant.

When she went looking for her, she couldn't find her because Arianna had vanished and when she reappeared, Ruby was already in the mix. Who hadn't heard about Ruby and Arianna's feud?

So she decided to use this opportunity to plot against Arianna, who was alone. This day was so perfect because everyone would try to be on her side in order to gain Ruby's favor while also slamming Arianna, whose reputation was still as black as charcoal despite her efforts to whiten it. What she didn't anticipate was Arianna's reaction. She not only didn't buy it, but she made her kneel without any sympathy. She was desperate to stand up, but if she did, everything she had done would be for naught.

She just didn't expect Ruby to intervene, making everyone dislike Arianna even more, but the counterattack was even more lethal because Arianna didn't fall for the ongoing schemes against her.

So she was scared out of her wits as Arianna stood calmly in front of her, holding a flute of champagne in her small hand. She couldn't lie, even as a girl, but she was very attracted to Arianna. Something about her was so enticing that if she were a guy, she would give it a shot.

But it was unfortunate that she was a girl, a girl who was envious and jealous of Arianna. Which girl will fall in love with someone more beautiful and fortunate than she is?

Arianna was the ideal person to direct all of his rage and hatred at. She shouldn't blame her for what happened to her, but rather blame herself for being born as a Kendall, a noble, and, most importantly, for being spoiled rotten.

"I will not stop you because you are so eager to slave yourself away to repay the debt of this expensive gown you ruined," Arianna spoke the words slowly and deliberately as she swirled the flute, "whatever I say, you will not listen to it, which leaves me with only one option for you. I'm curious if you're interested. "

The girl looked nervously at Arianna, who was wearing a smile that didn't look like a smile because it scared her so much that she wished she hadn't attacked this little devil, saying, "if it's something I can do, tell me and I'll do it."

The only option she had at the time was to do everything she could to make Arianna do the worst to her. She didn't care about her reputation any longer; all she cared about right now were the benefits she'd receive when all of this was over.

"I love your spirit, you are like a centipede that will not topple down even when dead," the words were slowly dragged and a hint of mockery could be heard, making Ruby's mouth twitch slightly when she heard them.

Ruby was taken aback; Arianna had completely ignored her as if she didn't exist, and at the moment, she couldn't cut Arianna in half because it would have a negative impact on her.

"It took my mother so much trouble to have this gown made for me, and in honor of Nadia, who sent her birthday invitation at the last minute, I decided to grace her with my presence and show her that I don't discriminate," Arianna quickly included and exposed Nadia's petty tricks to the crowd with a straight face as if she didn't do anything wrong, and continued, "this gown is just one of a kind.  That's why, when I was in a good mood, I told you not to worry about it and to just let it be, but you just wanted to make a scene and make things so big that, without even me knowing what was going on, , you were already sobbing and kneeling on the shattered glass, as if I were bullying you."

Those who were paying attention and those who had no idea what was going on before now had a clear picture of what was going on.

[So she's being set up?]

[Everything happened so quickly that I had no idea how it began.]

[I believe there is a plot afoot.]

[We'll have to wait and see what happens next.]

People were very funny; one second they were mocking her and calling her names, and the next she was making a comeback with just a few statements.

When Ruby and Nadia saw this, they both panicked; they all knew that if this continued, Arianna would get away with nothing.

"How come you're including me when you're the one who messed up?" Nadia couldn't help but attack quickly now that she was enraged.

How could she expose her on such a special day?

Ariana scoffed and continued her conversation with the girl who framed her without even looking at Nadia, who was fuming with rage, saying, "I hate it when people use me for their own benefit." I don't care who you're trying to please by doing this, but since you've already agreed to my proposal, I'm pleased to inform you that I deal with an eye for an eye and a tooth for a tooth."
