CHAPTER 43: BIRTHDAY BANQUET 7

Everyone was taken aback when they heard these words, and before they could even process it further, something shocking happened right there.

They all stared in horror as Arianna gracefully and elegantly poured champagne on the girl's head, as if it were a scene from a movie. The champagne flowed smoothly from the girl's head down her body.

It was a sight to behold, and when the victim realized what was going on, she screamed and looked at Arianna with hatred in her eyes.

"Are you feeling the rage, the humiliation? That's how I felt when you shamelessly ruined my gown, making me look like a bully when you were the one who was wrong. What I'm feeling is even stronger than what you're feeling right now," Arianna stated flatly once more, her gaze fixed on the girl who was now drenched in champagne.

"How do you think I felt when everyone was staring at me as if I were a disgusting bug in their eyes? When everyone passed judgment on me without hearing my side of the story? What do you think I felt when no one came to my aid despite knowing that this was a ruse designed to humiliate me and cause a commotion? Did any of you consider what this would mean for me or my parents?" Arianna asked three questions in a row as she scanned the hall again before arriving at Nadia and Ruby.

"You are the host, and it is no secret that we aren't friends, and that you don't like me, and yet you didn't hesitate to invite me, who is still not well after my attempted suicide," Arianna said to Nadia, whose face had turned red with rage.

She ignored the shocked reactions of those who heard Arianna admitting to attempting suicide, and the words that followed were even worse.

"To show you and your duchy some respect, I took days off from school and traveled all the way here just to celebrate this day with you, and yet you shamelessly set traps for me all over to make a mess of me. Is this how a noble lady is educated? How well educated was your nanny or governor to turn you into such a scheming individual?" Arianna yelled angrily at Nadia, who stumbled back in anger; if Ruby hadn't caught her, she'd have fallen to the floor.

"When your guest suffers, you are expected to make an objective judgment and to provide some justice to the innocent party. You're supposed to make sure nothing like this happens, and yet there you were, flattering that fake noble as if your life depended on it while I was being humiliated," Arianna dropped another bomb and insulted two people at the same time.

This time, the guests were at a loss for words; everything Ariana said was true, and they couldn't refute it. What Nadia had done was not appropriate behavior for a host.

"As for you, Ruby, I don't care how many people adore you, but I have some advice for you. I may have loved your man since I was a child and even attempted suicide because he had chosen you, but let me be clear and every one of you shall be my witness," Arianna said as she looked around before stopping again at Ruby, who wasn't looking good after being picked yet again.

"The previous me died, and I died full of love for him. I will not waste any time pinning for someone who is as blind as a bat as he is. I have someone better than him, so don't worry about plotting how to get rid of me because I am no longer interested in him," Arianna said, her voice laced with rage and hatred.

"So, return to your duchy and learn some etiquette for becoming a proper lady and serving your man well. If you don't come looking for me, I won't bother you, but if you do something stupid like what you all did, I will shamelessly embarrass you publicly and openly like this. Let's see whose reputation suffers as a result of this," Arianna laughed.

[She is insane!]

[Everything she said, however, makes sense; they all brought it on themselves.]

[It's unfortunate that they pitied themselves on the wrong person.]

"You..." Ruby was so enraged that she couldn't say anything.

"I'm sorry I won't be able to finish the banquet; my gown has been ruined, and I need to change. Thank you for the invitation; I had a great time at the party. This is a day I will never forget. I'm in love again, thanks to you all." Arianna dropped the bomb first, and everyone parted the way like the Jordan River when Moses crossed it.

She went out the same way she came in, briskly and loudly.
