Sunny’s POV
“So, this one will be like this. You have to divide this one with this one, then multiply it with the other one here.” Natalie keeps on explaining to me while all I just did was nod and yawn. “Do you get it now?” she asked.
I shook my head, “I’m so sorry Nats, but can we take a break for a while? I’m kind of hungry already actually.”
“Oh, I’m so sorry I forgot about the lunch break! Yes, we should buy some snacks now. I’m truly sorry, Sunny!”
“It’s alright, Nats. Hahaha! Actually, I just want to escape from this study session because those numbers are really making my brain freeze.” I kidded which made her chuckle. “Don’t worry, Sunny. I’m sure you’re just finding it hard for now but eventually, you will appreciate it and learn it afterward.”
“You know what, Nats? I’ve never met someone like you in my life. Someone who’s so good at seeing the good in me. They all think that I have no tomorrow and chance, but you are the only one who believes in me.”
She then put her hand around my arm as we started walking, “Of course I believe in you, because you are now my best friend.”
“I never had a best friend before. At least I already know the feeling of having one right now. So, do best friends really need to be clingy like a koala?” I kidded. Natalie smiled and hugged me even more, “Uh-huh. Hahahaha!”
We were laughing while walking when my phone began ringing inside the pocket of my skirt. I took it out to see who it was and as usual, the devil again. What does he want again with me this time?!
“Who is it?” Natalie asked me.
“Err… sorry Nats. I’ll just answer this call, you can go on without me.”
“Okay, I’ll be waiting at the cafeteria, okay?”
I nodded, “Okay.”
She then started walking away after waving at me. I answered the call, “What do you want from me again?!”
“Hey! Don’t you dare yell at me like that!” he yelled back. “I would just like to remind you about the dinner we are having with my parents tonight. You need to be at the entrance of the mall at 5 pm. Don’t be late or you know what would happen.”
“Fine! I remember that, your highness! So, can I eat my lunch with my best friend now? Good bye!” I said as I hanged up the phone and put it inside my pocket again.
That devil really doesn’t know about timings. And he even reminded me about that damn dinner with his parents early in the morning?! Ugh, that man really pisses me off!

“Do you even know how long I’ve been waiting here for you?! I told you to come here at five, do you know what time is it already?!” he began yelling at me as soon as I arrived at the entrance of his mall. I furrowed my brows at him as I squinted at my wristwatch, “It’s 5:15, okay? Not six or seven. I just had to meet my editor for fifteen minutes before going here so isn’t that an acceptable reason, your highness?”
He rolled his eyes and looked at me, “5:15 or 5:01 I don’t care, okay? When I tell you to go here at five, you need to arrive here at five, not 5:01 or 5:15.”
“You know what? If we just start doing what we have to do today, then we’d probably accomplish it in a much earlier time. You see, it’s already 5:20 now which means that you’ve been scolding me for five minutes now. Don’t you think, Mr. CEO?" I said to him sarcastically. He glared at me and ran his fingers through his hair as what he always does. “Go inside the car.”
“Aye aye! Sir!” I said as I finally stepped inside his car.
Scolding me each single time. Is he, my mother? I’m really going to write many books until I can finally be able to pay this asshole. I swear, I’m going to throw those money at his face. “Why are you staring at me like that? I know I’m handsome but having someone like you staring at me makes me cringe.”
I rolled my eyes and shifted my gaze outside. Yes, I’m staring at you while thinking about the possible ways I could kill you, bastard.
I almost fell asleep during the long ride in his car, I never thought that his house is quite far. Oh well, hell is really far from our place. “Go out.” He commanded me again when he was finally able to park his car.
I stepped out of his car while silently cursing him. Now I wonder where did this asshole got his trashy attitude from. Maybe his parents are worse than him. Maybe the reason why he turned out to be a beast was that his parents maltreated him before and always asks him to be perfect, maybe they always beat him until he grew up and adapted those traits.
Good thing my sister won’t have to marry this man, duh, I don’t want to have a brother-in-law like him!
“What the hell are you still doing there?!” I only came back to my senses when he yelled again, walking towards the mansion. “I’m already coming! Your highness!”
I wish you slip as soon as you open the door.
“Good Morning, Sir Damon.” The guard who opened the door greeted the demon. He also looked at me so I just gave him an awkward smile which he responded with a respectful nod. And as if on cue, as soon as Damon stepped inside, he got slipped and fell on the tiled floor.
Upon seeing him, sitting on the floor, I wasn’t able to get a hold of myself, “HAHAHAHAHAHAHA!”
“What the fuck are you laughing there, nerd?!!” he said as he stood up, glaring at me. His face was red from shame. “Hurry up and follow me inside!”
“Okay, Sir!” I said, still holding my laughter. “Just don’t forget to watch where you’re going~”
“W-What did you say?!”
I looked at him innocently, “Huh? I didn’t say anything, Sir…”
