Everyone gathers around Eisen as he dials a number and puts his phone on speaker. Only two rings and it’s answered with, “Yeah.”
“We’re all here,” Eisen says and then looks up to the room. “I’m sure everyone has heard that we’re moving up our plans to attack.” Murmurs go around the room and heads nod. “Adrian is severely weakened right and we want to strike back before he uses blood to regain his strength.”
“How do we know he hasn’t done that already?” Maddox asks.
“He hasn’t,” says the voice on the phone. “He’s waiting for Lux. He likes to do it when she’s watching. He enjoys watching her… watch him when he does things like that.” There was no pity in the male’s voice or enjoyment. Just dead facts. Sauda didn’t look towards Asiya, didn’t want to embarrass her.
“This is Xavier, our lead Demon-Castor in Ethiopia.” And before anyone could object, “we’ve got the same report from our innocent eyes on the inside.”
