Chapter 10

"What? You're kissing !?" Grace shouted loudly.

We are currently in her room. Because I was embarrassed, I went straight to her room. She found me sitting on the bed smiling to herself. And the crazy crazy is just now back. It will be noon when she leaves but it will be dark when she returns. "'Don't make any noise, we're just keeping it a secret."

"Huh! I thought you wouldn't shoot him even if he's the only man left in the world? Huh?"

"Hayyst," I slapped my forehead. She was standing in front of me and still smiling. "What am I going to do? I can't control the flow of my emotions!" I was annoyed with her.

"I'm aware of you, you said that! Don't hurt my bestfriend!"

"What? I'm still going to hurt?"

"Just a joke, you two get hurt I don't care." She smiled again. She also sat on the bed, next to me. Dylan came home earlier after we ate lunch. He said he still has work to do. He no longer waited for Grace to arrive before he left. It's Saturday so graveyard is my shift. It will start at 10 in the evening and end at seven in the morning. I haven't slept since noon. Maybe while I was frying chicken I would suddenly drown in oil because of drowsiness. "Go home, you'll be late for work later, blame me." Grace kept her promise. It's six o'clock in the afternoon because I'm still here in her room.

"Let's go to church tomorrow, ah? It's still early in the morning, I'll be out at seven in the morning."

"Yes, I will never forget." Smiling promises it. We just hugged and then I went home. But before I could enter the dorm someone was waiting for me a handsome creature. I secretly smiled because we seemed to be going back to the past. "Hey," he greeted me as I was honest with him.

"H-hi," I shyly reply to him. I still remember how hungry I was when he kissed me. "Coffee?"

He invited me to a concrete chair outside our dorm. He handed me a cup of coffee that had been ordered at starbucks. "Thank you,"

"So, how's your day?" He asked while smiling. He was on all fours, his arm rested on the iron on the side of our seat and he held the coffee in his other hand. He looked at me as if I were his world. "Happy," was my short reply to it. "Because ... we kissed?" He winked at me. I just want to sink from my seat. I just shook my head in response and then averted my eyes from his seductive eyes. "So, what's your plan for tomorrow?" Curious promise of it again.

"We're going to church tomorrow after my work shift,"

"Us?" I turned to him and frowned at him. Why I do not know. "Grace," I said briefly here. "Ah, I see. Don't you have any boy friend?"

"I don't want a boy to be my friend,"

"Because of me?" He said in a sad voice.

I let out a heavy sigh. I don’t know what to say. Although, the pain was when that happened but here we are talking as if nothing happened. "What if .. that incident didn't happen, we're still happy, aren't we?" I saw the guilt lingering in his cold eyes. "And now, we're talking as if I haven't done anything wrong to you. You're right, I'm bastard." He sadly added. I was about to speak when my cellphone rang. It was as if this had made it possible for us to stop our passionate conversation. Or just him. Releases his passionate attitude. I almost belittled myself, it was just an alarm and it was time for me to get ready for work. I got up from my seat then addressed him.

"Uhmmm... I'm going to work," I said goodbye while still scratching my neck. I didn't know what to do to say goodbye to him. Desperately he smiled. "Okay .. take care, Joy." He said that my face warmed up again. I miss him calling my name. "All right, bye. See you, tom." I said to it as his face lit up again. "Really? Can I?" He said as if still amazed. I embraced it.

And all of a sudden he got up from his seat then hugged me tightly. I couldn't breathe but he hugged me so there was no problem.

"Thank you, Joy." I left him there outside as if having fun. The smile reached my ears as if there was no tomorrow. At nine o'clock I was on my way to work. I haven't slept yet, we still have church tomorrow.

"Why do you seem to have fun, Mia Joy?" Ma'am Janel, our manager, said. I laughed at ma'am then I surrounded her. "Make sure you have a good performance tonight, you look happy. Lately, the chickens have been on fire. A lot of complaining costumers." A reminder of this. "Yes ma'am!" I salute her as she nodded.

~ I was out at 7:30 am because my change was late. I can't just leave it at that. I will definitely be the one to blame again. "Hello?" I was in the jeep on my way to the dorm to change my clothes when my cellphone rang. Unknown number. I answered even though I didn’t know. "Hello," a deep voice filled my ears. I already know who it is. He must have convinced Grace to give my number to him. "Ah, why?" I even heard him laugh on the other line.

"Can I come with you later?"

"Sure!" I answered.

8:30 am I was in front of Grace's house. The car we will use on the way to church is also ready. I thought they had a driver again Grace but they still didn't. So our driver now is Dylan. He was smiling in the driver's seat now and Grace threw me in the passenger seat. Shameless indeed! "I miss you," Dylan said as he fastened my seatbelt.
