Town of Newground

"Eyoo~"

An exited exclamation was heard from the top of a hill as you could see a beautiful young lass that seemed to be a beastkin on it.

She had her left hand on her hip while her right hand covered the suns rays. She looked like an explorer who had just discovered new land.

"A town! Or something!"

"Finally might get a good bed after 4 days of travel." the sheepkin mused to herself.

Ofcourse this particular 'sheepkin' was Mizuki.

During the 4 day walk Mizuki had finally remembered to distribute her free attribute points. Just because she has a memory skill does not mean she will remember every detail of every moment at all times. It's more like a search function in her head.

Her stats now looked like this.

[Lv: 51

HP: 56,250/56,250 - 100,000/100,000

Approaching the town with a skip in her step, Mizuki went to stand in the line that was infront of the gate.

The town had tall stone walls and a large metal gate that was most likely meant for carriages. Next to the metal gate was a wooden door for the masses.

'The place is susceptible to air attacks and most small and medium sized monsters can just get in from the wooden door or climb the wall.. No. This seems way too easy to break into. This place has to have some sort of invisible barrier or a kind of monster repellant. Right?'

While Mizuki was making a mental note to not stay here for long just in case, two pairs of eyes landed on her. Whispers could be heard from near the gate.

"A sheepkin? And she has rather lavish clothes as well."

"She might be a noble from the beastkin kingdom."

"Well since she is in the line for commonors she might want to hide her identity or something. Although she is doing a rather bad job."

"Maybe she was kicked out of her house? Or rather, maybe there is some internal strife within the beastkin kingdom."

"It's not our problem, is it? We are just gate guards you know."

"I know, I know. But maybe we can get a raise if we bring her to the captain and get some info out of her."

"I doubt we can. The sheepkin are known for their use over magic and their curious nature. We might just be fried or frozen over the moment we make a move like that."

"Why can't we just ask her to come with us and awnser some questions?"

"You really think a noble beastkin would listen to some human gate guards? Let's just do our job and tell the captain that she is in the city later."

"Tch. Fine."

'Idiots, really thinking that I'm staying here. After I get an ID of sorts and a map I'll be heading off to the nearest port city.'

After a few minutes and a few unruly gazes towards her it was finally Mizukis turn to enter.

"I do not have an ID so can I pay instead?"

"Sure. 5 copper, large."

Mizuki handed over some large copper coins that she got from the bandit camp and entered the city.

'More advanced architecture than I would have thought. There should be some sort of guild or assosiation around here somewhere that should print IDs.'

Walking through the streets there were many looks directed at her some more worse than what she received at the line not that she really cared for them.

She soon stumbled upon a building with a sword and shield symbol and entered.

The moment she did the ruckus in the building quieted for a second before resuming. Some gazes stayed on her for a minute or two while others were captivated and some just ignored her.

Going up to the counter she told the wolfkin man at the reception.

"I'd like an ID please."

"An adventurers ID? Look kid you are way too young, even I can see that. If you want to be an advent-.." the wolf man was cut off.

"You are mistaken. I am here for a regular ID."

The wolf frowned as his plan was foiled.

'Damn it I thought the kid wanted to be an adventurer.' he thought.

He didn't let her make an ID because he had planned on telling her the only way to become an adventurer is to be an adult. As in either be over 16 or be married.

The wolf man had planned on making Mizuki his wife so he could have his way with her.

'Maybe I still got a chance. Although sheepkin aren't that gullible I can still try to capture her heart. It's only once in a lifetime when you can see someone this gorgeous right in front of you. Two if you're lucky.'

"Forgive me for presuming your choice. It's just that a lot of kids have tried to become adventurers lately so I'm trying to keep them out of danger by telling them that they have to be adults."

"It's fine. What's the age that you are estimated as an adult then? Also can you start with the ID printing already?"

The wolf mans eyebrow twitched as he heard her last sentance but chose to ignore it.

"Sure, I'll get on it right away. The age when you are recognized as an adult is 16."

Said the wolf man while taking out a crystal sphere.

"Place your hand on the top and your card will come out of the slot below the sphere."

"Got it." while Mizuki placed her hand on the crystal she also activated a spell on the wolf man. She was not oblivious to the disgusting stare that he would give her every so often.

The spell made him feel extreme pain the moment he thought of doing anything immoral or ever touching a girl under 16. Besides that, if he were to try anyway he would lose his wolf tail along with the one in his front.

The crystal glowed in white and let out a card.

The card had basic information. Her name, her current level and her estimated age.

The card noted her age on her apperance, pretty futuristic.

[Name: Mizuki Murasaki

Lv: 51

Age: 13]

"Do I have to pay for it."

"No. You can say it's on me." said the wolf man with a smile.

"Ok. Bye."

"Goodbye. Come again."

'I am never coming back here.'

Heading towards what looked to be a general store she entered and asked for a map to the nearest port city.

She left the store with empty pockets as she had to haggle the price down using her looks and a bit of negotiation. The price went from 3 gold to 1 gold, 27 silver and 8 large copper.

"Haah~. Completely broke."

"I can go to a blacksmith to sell some of the weapons that I have in my.. stomach."

'Why did I have to carry a bag for four days if I have [Dissolve]s second function of storing sh*t in my stomach!?!'

Walking towards the nearest blacksmiths shop with a slight sigh, Mizuki entered and greeted what seemed to be the owner.

Selling all of her daggers and swords to a nice old blacksmith man named Borm she came out of the store with a steel rapier as a present and 17 silver.

'What a nice man. I should get him a present if I ever return to this place after leaving tomorrow.'

What Mizuki did not know was that a city wide catastrophe was approaching the town.
