Zena walked in into a one-story cottage, her eyes showed resoluteness. Inside there was a man with brick-like muscles lying sideways with his head above his hands and was wearing nothing else.
Zena's face showed clear disgust, which she had no intention to hide. This just infuriated the man even more. He got up, with his stuff still dangling from side to side, and approached Zena slowly but menacingly.
Zena still showed no signs of backing down, she stood her ground and stared him in the eyes. However, when she remembered what Fares taught her a while ago, she let her hatred go, and her face showed a sweet smile.
"How about we eat first?" She said as sweetly as she could.
Doga was taken aback, 'Wasn't this girl just looking down on him? Now she wanted to eat with him? What was wrong with her? Did she finally fall for me?' He thought.
He smiled creepily with no intention of hiding his private parts and whispered in her ears, "Sure thing. Good thing you got back to your senses quickly, or what would have happened next was not going to be a good experience. At least for you, that is."
Zena stiffened for a second and tried her best to control her emotions. 'Not now, not now. He is going to get what is coming for him. Calm down, calm down.' She thought to herself, psyching herself up.
She took a few deep breaths, which Doga just thought of it as her being excited, and went towards a stone stove that looked exactly like hers.
Zena has known about the layout of this room from Azkar. He came by a lot, and it was no secret, he never thought anyone would be daring enough to attack him, so he never bothered to cover it up.
His grandfather is one of the elders and only second in combat power to the grand elders and the chief. They were also known for being merciless to everyone else who does not carry their blood. For some reason, they are extremely proud of their bloodline.
Seeing Zena move towards the stone stove, he asked, "Do you even know how to light up the fire? I only use that stove when my grandfather comes by."
"Yes, I have had somebody reliable teach me." She said trying her best to act sweet. It was hard for her, she was too hot-headed, and her pride just won't let her bow to someone like this perverted man.
He just nodded and went to grab a huge slab of meat from his stack. After rummaging through it for a while, he got the best piece of monster meat her could get his hands on. This special one had been hunted after a few tiring days with the help of his uncle. He also grabbed a few more logs on his way, it was not his first time besides a fire, he knew a piece this thick needed more logs.
When he returned, Zena had already used Fares' method of plowing the wood with another, to light up the fire. It grew stronger as Doga threw some more logs into it. Zena was a little shocked at first, but then she thought, 'If you are in that much of a hurry, I have no problems entertaining you.'
"Here, you can cook this Mason meat." Doga said, throwing the meat slab her way.
"Sure, it is going to take a while, you go take a nap first." She said, acting her role of the 'happy wife'.
Doga just shrugged, but along with it anyway. It was not like she could run anyway. His uncle was just outside, just in case.
"Oh, by the way, I need to go grab some herbs from the Healer Raya's garden. I have got her approval beforehand." Zena said to him after just remembering a crucial part of the plan.
Doga frowned a little but nodded as he went off to tell his uncle to accompany her just in case.
After Zena set off the fire, she left Demerio, leaving Doga alone taking a nap.
She took her sweet time, humming happily while picking up whatever herbs, she won't use anyway. Fares told her he will personally tell Healer Raya of it, so she could do whatever she wants for now.
"Che, look at you all happy now. I bet he gave it to you so good that you can not wait to go back." Demerio mumbled on the side, sulking.
A while later, he got fed up with it and grabbed her arms forcefully, saying, "Move it, bitch."
Zena didn't think it was time yet, so she resisted midway back when they were on an empty road.
Demerio slapped her face hard, causing her to fall to the ground. She looked at him, killing intent filling her face while holding her now swollen cheeks.
After that, she did not resist anymore. Demerio thought that he had finally taught her a lesson, but what he did not know was that she did not need to waste time more than this.
As they got back, Demerio still stood to watch outside, as his father had instructed him. A while after Zena entered inside, she screamed as loudly as she possibly could.
This alerted both Demerio and Daragma, who were in the cottage next to this one. The first one to come was Demerio, of course, he broke the door open in one kick as he looked inside.
He saw Doga sprawled on the floor next to his bed, with Zena a few feet from him on the floor with what seemed like her clothes had been torn and holding her mouth in shock.
"What the hell did you do to him, you witch." Demerio said as he grabbed her arms forcefully yanking her up.
"No! No! Leave me alone. Please don't kill me too." She kept screaming. To Demerio it was just incomprehensible words, but to Daragma who just arrived, it was a shock.
He slapped Demerio into the ground with one hand, knocking him out, and rushed to his son.
"What happened here?" He screamed at Zena.
"H-He just came in and attacked me. When Doga stood up to him, he knocked him out." Zena faked sobbing as she told Daragma what she had planned previously with Fares, with a few additions on her side, of course.
Daragma checked on his son and said, "He is still breathing, but his life force dropped by a lot. Let us take him to that old hag first, to heal him."
Zena nodded and followed Daragma outside, closing the door behind her, with the fire still on.
__________
That was what happened, but when they arrived at Healer Raya's clinic, he just explained a few bits of what he knew.
"I see, it was indeed a vicious attack to put him in this state. I am sorry, I cannot do anything to him anymore." She said truthfully. Even though she had a deal with Fares, she did not lie, she had never seen a case like that before.
Daragma's face fell as he held Healer Raya's arms and shook her roughly.
"Old hag, please save him, I'll do anything you ask." He said desperately.
Healer Raya shook her head at the foul mouth and said, "I have no way to solve it, I am sorry. "
"But I know someone who could." She said a moment later before Daragma fell into desperation.
His eyes lit up instantly as he said, "Really? Who?"
"My appreciate." She said bluntly.
"You have an apprentice?" Daragma was so shocked that he forgot about his grandson momentarily.
"Where is he? Take me to him." He said after waking up from his daze.
"Oh, but I believe you have met him already. He is the young man sitting outside right now." She said, pointing her thumb at the door behind her.
Daragma took a moment to put things together, but when he did, he couldn't contain his shock. The only two people he saw outside were the little girl and the youngster who was with Azkar during their last bet. "Don't tell me…" His face was full of dread as he thought about it.
'Does he have anything to do with this?' he thought. 'Whatever the case, I have to save my grandson. He is the hope of the family.'
Daragma went outside to find Fares sitting in the waiting area outside and happily talking to both Mona and Zena. The corners of his mouth twitched as he saw this scene.
He swallowed his pride and walked towards them, not moving his eyes from Fares. When he finally arrived, he said, "Hey kid, I hear you have a method to heal my grandson. Quick, go and heal him."
"Who the hell do you think you are, old man. You can't do anything to me inside the village. You're too scared of the consequences." Fares said, as a matter of fact, he did not want any trouble, but he will never bow his head to people like that.
He was right, in the village fighting has long been prohibited, whoever started it will be sentenced by the village's grand elders and the chief.
Daragma was too infuriated, he has never been treated this badly by a kid, ever. Now some unknown kid comes by and does that. He did not want more than to bash his brain in, but he still took a deep breath and calmed down.
"Can you, or can you not, treat my grandson?" He asked through gritted teeth.
Fares shrugged, and tried acting as medically professional as he could and said, "How should I know? I have to check up on him first."
