The Day After/A quick Massacre

--- Sona's POV ---

I woke up and saw an unfamiliar ceiling, well the entire room was unfamiliar to me. As I tried to get up I felt a stinging pain on my left side, where my ribs are essentially. It was then that last nights incident came back to me, I almost died. Ashtal-san saved me, who would have thought that he was not only smart, but also strong. He killed that peak High-class devil easily, if what I saw after momentarily regaining consciousness is correct, which means his power is at the very least of low-Ultimate class.

I finally managed to get up, it still hurts, damned be that Narberius-clan servant. As I continued to move to the door of the room, I realized that my ribs should have been completely broken or even shattered and I know the only form of healing-magic that exists is the Sacred Gear:Twilight Healing. Another thing I need to remember to ask him, just who are you Ashtal-san?

I managed to get down the stairs and entered what looked like a living room and there he was already awake, holding a bottle and feeding what looks like a baby....."is that a baby LEVIATHAN?", though it had fur which is not something a leviathan normally has. I might have accidentally blurted that question out loud, making myself be known by my savior. For some reason I have the feeling that he already knew that I was there.

--- MC POV ---

I was just feeding Lily some milk, when I heard Sona being loud so early in the morning.

Sona: "Is that a baby LEVIATHAN?" she sounded shocked to see a Leviathan baby, she even screamed out the last part.

Ashtal: "Good morning to you too princess, do you have a habit of screaming in the morning." That made her turn red out of embarrassment and she timidly answered.

Sona: "Good morning Ashtal-san."

Ashtal: "*Sigh*, you shouldn't move around so much, most of your wounds should have healed, but your broken ribs will need one or at most two more days to heal fully."

Sona: "Right, but how could you have healed me?, healing magic is something that was considered impossible and I doubt you have the Sacred Gear:Twilight Healing." She sounded doubtful, don't they know of potions, well they are expensive to make and have risks involved but nothing too bad.

I took out a low-quality potion from my inventory, you know those drops from the basic zombies. While showing it to Sona, I explained to her how I did it and exaggerated the cost of manufacturing a little, so she'll feel a little more indebted.

Ashtal: "This is known as healing potion, though only a low quality one, it is already capable of healing bruises and small cuts. (True for a normal person)

The manufacturing cost is still really high, requiring rare ingredients, some of which require more than a couple years to mature or bear fruits (Exaggerated part) and even after using it, your body will build up a resistance making them less effective. Before you ask, no you can't take more if your body has build up a resistance as that will simply be overdosing your system, similar to overdosing on any other drug.

Depending on the case of overdose, the affected body will start to slowly start to break down leading to organ failure and eventually death.

Oh yeah, depending on the wound that is healed, you might even die of shock, since accelerated healing is not the most pleasant experience. Your wounds were fine, simply because they weren't really deep and you were unconscious, your ribs will heal from the remaining of the potion in your system, as I already said in the next two days at most."

Sona didn't expect so much information at once and could only dumbly nod as if she understood, she probably did, but the possible consequences made her shiver a little in terror.

Ashtal: "Why did you message me, you should have a peerage, why not call them?" I asked her changing the topic.

Sona: "I wanted to message Koneko not you and my peerage was already asleep at the time."

Ashtal; "Contacting Koneko so that devil could get what he came for? and why were you not asleep at the time?" I asked her with a incredulous expression on my face.

Sona: "Now that you mentioning it, not really a good idea, but her master isn't really interested in taking care of her." She answered with some sadness in her voice.

Ashtal: "Wait a minute, she's not part of your peerage?, whose is she part of then?" I was kind of surprised, why would you make someone part of your peerage, if you don't plan of taking care of them. Don't tell me it's that spoiled redhead, this is some really f*cked up alternate universe bullsh*t if that's the case.

Sona: "Let's just say she thought that she had gained a strong Rook, since Koneko is a rare kind of Youkai, but her traumatic past is keeping her shackled. I'm trying my best to help Koneko, but it's hard to let go of the past." Sona explained, some anger hidden in her eyes.

Ashtal: "You know, you can bring her to me, if those guys attack again. You might not be able to deal with them, but I can and I will." I said fully planning on slaughtering every single on of them.

Sona: "I appreciate the offer, but I think that calling my sister is a better idea, dealing with our own problems." Sona said to keep me out of her problems, how cute. I think she started to really care about me.

Ashtal: "Well if you change your mind, you have my number as does Koneko." I said shrugging a bit before standing up with Lily climbing around my body and settling on my shoulder. "Well let's go, your peerage is probably freaking out right about now." I looked on my phone and saw a message from Koneko asking if I knew where Sona is.

Sona: "I'll be fine, just enjoy the rest of your day taking care of the baby." Sona said, supressing some giggles seeing Lily playing with her bubbles on my shoulder, she seemingly doesn't know how terrifying soap-bubbles can be, yet.

Ashtal: "Goodbye Sona and make sure to get some rest so you can heal." I told her and went to the kitchen to warm another bottle of milk.

2 hours later

So Lily fell asleep, so I have nearly 4 hours to do anything I want, maybe some training, cooking dinner or how about a healthy dose of genocide...

Well before that I need to find a way into the underworld... undetected. If I have the spatial coordinates I might be able to create a way to the underworld. Maybe that key-card the devil dropped will be of use, ... yes it has a magical signal. This makes it easier I just have to decipher it and find out the origin of the signal, then create a spell that uses the signal as an anchor. Lastly creating a way back which is the easiest part.

But that has time for tomorrow, I'm tired so I'm going to join Lily for a little nap.

The next day, in the morning.

As I woke up, I had an idea for a way to get to the underworld and if I do it right I might be able to automatically return after a set period of time. So I set everything up, it wasn't really hard, I just had to connect two adjacent dimension. Afterwards I powered the rune array up, let's just say a nuclear reactor looks like a toy compared to this. A single mistake and the entirety of Japan will disappear from the face of the earth. No risk, no fun, right? Well I activated the spell and everything went to plan, the space around me twisted and churned. I was swallowed by the space and after a nauseating experience of being thrown through a crack between dimensions I ended up in the sky above a perfectly half spherical, grass covered mountain. Someone please the villains to make finding their base harder, it's hard to believe none of the other clans know anything about this.

Well I scanned the mountain and it's not even a mountain, just a big dome shape building under an illusion-barrier. Not that it matters, I'm going to sneak in and steal everything of importance. As the cherry on top, I will nuke the entire building to kill as many of the devils inside. Anyone involved in the inhumane experiments that took or rather take place in there have to die. (Watch/read the anime/manga/LN if you don't know what happened.)

One infiltration later

Well that was easier than expected and the part is since I had that key-card, I could just waltz in without any alarm. Hiding myself by bending the light around me and suppressing my magic I walked around in this laboratory, stealing research notes and equipment.

I did find some holding cells with some test-subjects, but sadly they were all broken physically and mentally and so I gave them a quick and painless end to set an end to their suffering. I did not absorb the souls of the subjects as they were innocent and deserved a new beginning.

As I continued my looting expedition, I also killed the researchers, gaining some souls, but this will be nothing compared to the grand finale. I made my way back out, not bothering to be silent about it and so just steamrolled over all the mob devils in my way.

Once I was outside, I created footholds of compressed air in the well air and went nearly two kilometres up. After reaching a safe distance, I decided to try one of my newest ideas, I used lightning-magic and air-magic to create antimatter and form it into the shape of an spear. I don't know what will happen, but nothing will survive within the blast radius. The spear, unlike common believe was complete white. I had to coat it in a thin layer of Mana to keep it from detonating in my hand or from the contact of the atmosphere.

I activated my [Balance Breaker] and [Touki] and right before throwing it to increase it's power to ridiculous proportions, I pumped the already highly unstable spear full of fire-elemental Mana and light-elemental Mana. The glow of the spear was so intense it probably looks like a star from the ground and this 'star' is about to fall.

I concentrated all of my Touki to my right arm to increase my throwing power, aimed and yeeted the spear straight at the building. From the ground it must really look like a shooting star, only that it carries some surprises.

When the collided with the top of the dome I realized I might have underestimated the power that spear held, since everything lost color for a second before it went white and you could hear nothing from the deafening sound of the explosion that rang out.

After the color returned to the world, the place where the laboratory used to be was now only a crater. A crater that was 10 kilometres in diameter and a kilometre deep, mind you. The level up notifications also kept ringing out for nearly a minute and I might have underestimated how many people where in there.

Like I said slightly underestimated, well getting those 20.000 souls seems to be easier than expected, just some genocides here and there.

Alright that's just ridiculous, I feel like I could destroy the world with physical strength alone, now my only problem is that I can only use 10% of my Mana since my body can't handle more, even if my body is so strong, Mana will still rip it apart, only one way to fix it, I have to give up my remaining humanity. More or less at least, the time has come for me to delve into the forbidden parts of magic. A human body can only handle so much, among all races we have the worst compatibility with magic.

Well I'm spent, however that is possible, but I could use some sleep right now. And so the time delay on the array activated, transporting me back to the room I set the array up in.
