chapter 38: realizations & evilness

JULIET'S POINT OF VIEW

"Rodolfo and whatever your name is, make sure you two stay put." One of the bodyguards said as Romeo and I groaned after they push us to a room then the second bodyguard closed the door and immediately locked it.

"No! Please! Let us out this instant! We need to talk to-" I shouted as I stood up and run to the door then I banged it multiple times and Romeo cutted me off.

"There's no use Juliet, I think it's best to wait for Maria." Romeo sighed as I turned at him.

"What are you talking about?! We need to find a solution right now!" I scolded as I walked towards him.

"Trust me Juliet, I've been in the same situation before, with them." He said as he looked up at me.

"W-With them?" I asked as I frowned and sat beside him.

"Long story short, they were the parents that adopt me exactly a decade ago, I thought it was a good idea but it wasn't after all. As far as I can remember, they are planning something evil to make this magic called Devilio Magic." He said.

"I know what you are thinking, but they are the enemies that Madam Tia told us about." He continued.

"A-Actually, I do know about their evil magic and that they are our enemies because of all the tragedy that happened in their pasts." I sighed.

"Oh, I guess it was part of your mission after all. Mind if I ask what was yours, then I would tell mine?" He asked as we looked at each other.

"I-I don't think it is a good idea-" I said then he cutted me off.

"I won't tell anyone I promise, just like what they say, what stays in the room must stay in the room." He said as he brings up his right hand then I smiled.

"Alright, alright, mine was the future. And if you'd ask what happen, it was shown that I-I was kidnapped while waiting for Travis. But luckily, Aunt Tia was there and we were able to solve it, well precisely solved it." I explained.

"You were kidnapped by who?" He asked in confusion then I sighed.

"Maria and Peter." I said then he gasped.

"But, it isn't the exact situation on what is currently happening right now. I guess something might have changed in the past time, like Travis humiliating me infront of us four about my biggest lie towards him." I continued as he placed his hand on my back to comfort me.

"But it didn't happened, right? Why did we still ended up getting kidnapped for no reason?" He asked as he frowned.

"Because Aunt Tia told me on the last time we talked that Maria is under control of Travis' mission, she might've told him about the fake confession I said but I just don't know how." I replied as I looked down.

"Which explains why my past seems a little dark, especially for my age back then." He sighed as I looked at him.

"What happened in your mission?" I asked.

"You know, just the times when I was adopted, knowing their evil secrets, the library where w-we first talked." He said then he looked back at me.

"S-Speaking of library, may I ask what happened to you two days ago? You suddenly just ran off like that, are you mad at me?" I asked.

"N-No, I'm not. It's just that I- argh, I don't know how to say it." He said as he stuttered.

"I-It's okay I completely-" I said then he cutted me off.

"I love you Juliet, I just discovered that I have always loved you from the very beginning, and right before we first talked in the old library. I remembered that day that I told to myself that I will find you, and I'm glad I did. But the problem was that I was too focus on loving the wrong person, then I forgot the girl I have always loved right before the accident." He said as I gasped.

"I was too blind to recognize that I have feelings for you, I was even too dumb to notice how much you care about me more than a friend. In the end, I ended up regretting the moment I realized everything. I know I'm too late, especially when you are now in love with Travis, which I completely understand. But I just want to tell you that whoever you end up choosing, I will forever be proud and happy for you. I am always here whenever you need me, and I hope this won't ruin our friendship." He continued.

I just sat there beside him feeling speechless, the fact that Romeo and Travis' confession are almost similar made me wondering. The moment he said 'I love you', my heart skipped a beat, and with that, I knew deep down that I still love him. But at the same time, I love Travis as well and I don't want anything to ruin our relationship. I ended up feeling confused for my feelings for the both of them.

"I-I'm sorry I was too straightforward, I am j-just a type of person who is very honest with their feelings and I just let it all out at the same-" He apologized then I cutted him off.

"No, no, it's okay. I'm just confused with my feelings right now." I sighed then I looked at him.

"You know I am willing to respect any decision you make Juliet, whether it is me or Travis." He said as he smiled.

"I-I don't know Romeo, it feels like I am stuck between you two. I don't know what to do, to feel or to choose." I said as I started crying then Romeo pulled me for a hug and I hugged back.

"Take your time in thinking Juliet, when the right decision of yours come, I will be there for you." He said as tears come out from my eyes then he released from hugging.

"But always remember that once upon a time, your heart was once mine." He continued as we stared at each others' eyes.

The moment we stared at each others' eyes, I suddenly remembered all the few but beautiful times Romeo and I had. It felt like the world stopped for a whole minute, like it felt like something unexpected would happen. But then, he slowly put his hand on my cheek and we slowly leaned in for a kiss. Everything happened so fast, that the next thing I know is my lips are against his. My feelings for him immediately came back, and I don't know why. I gotta be honest that my feelings and I are too indecisive that I am dating Travis, but here I am kissing the guy I have always love. W-Wait, I an dating Tr-Travis. I immediately pulled away from this kiss as he did his confused face.

"I-I am sorry, w-we shouldn't be doing that. Please forgive me, and never tell anyone." I nervously said as I closed my eyes.

"N-No, I should be the one who should said sorry, you have a boyfriend and the guy is Travis." He nervously replied as I slowly opened my eyes.

"I knew you two are hiding something from me, from us." A familiar voice said from behind then Romeo and I turned around.

"Tr-Travis?! Lauren?!" Romeo and I panickedly shouted as Travis glared at us and Lauren worriedly looked at us.

MARIA'S POINT OF VIEW

"I knew those two are in love with each other, and hopefully because of it, Travis will finally be in our team." I said with an evil smirk then I turned at Peter.

"Maria, we cannot be too sure that they are in love, they just kiss that's all." Peter said as I walked towards the chair and sat down.

"Please, why would two people kiss and won't fall in love with each other?" I asked as I scoffed.

"Its good that the bodyguards randomly picked them two to be together, so that we can continue our plan for our soon to be come Devilio Magic." I continued as I evilly smirked.

"What was the plan again?" He asked then I did a face palm.

"Since we already have Travis' two pounds of blood without him knowing, we will trick him into thinking that we would get Rodolfo's two pounds of blood instead. But little did he know, the only purpose we could bring back Rodolfo is for us to grab his Magicia jewelry to result with our Devilio Magic." I explained as I looked up at him.

"What about the other girls?" He asked in confusion.

"Since we already both know that one of the girls named Juliet has the Magicia jewelry as well, it could lead us to the guardian of the Magicia which is Celestia. Afterwards, we could finally exchange this magic in the next generations to come, which can make us more and more powerful until we will rule the world." I said as I stood up and walked around the room.

"The other lady can be in our team as well along with Travis, as far as I know, she is too powerful because of her confidence and poise." I continued.

"Brilliant ideas Maria, no wonder I love a lady like you." He said then he kissed my forehead and I smiled.

"Oh sure you do." I said as I scoffed.

"Mr. and Mrs. Greene, we have a problem." One of the bodyguards said as they opened the door.

"What is it this time?" I asked as I rolled my eyes and stood up.

"The two escaped from the room we locked them." The second bodyguard said.

"Don't worry, it was all part of our plan." I said as I turned at Peter.

"But what if they would escape, Ma-" The first bodyguard asked then Peter cutted him off.

"Well do something about it by using your common sense rather than asking us obvious questions." Peter said in anger.

"Yes Sir, we apologize." The second bodyguard said then they left.
