Chapter 69

Lucinda's POV

In the living room, Mia, May and Mark were playing a video game on the large flat screen. It seemed that May had forgotten about the whole introduction thing and happily playing with her siblings - or letting out her frustrations through the game.

Addy and Grayson went out with Frank to purchase some ice so I was left to explore the house mindlessly. I came across a game room which had a door adjacent from it which turned out to be a home cinema.

I climbed up the stairs to the second floor which seemed to be the floor for the guests as most of the rooms where identical and empty with a few bathrooms.

I continued up the stairs to the third floor which seemed to be the family's bedrooms. Each door had a miny silver plaque with everyone's names written in cursive. Some of the rooms on the second floors were bathroom of similar design.

As I kept walking down the hallway I heard faint music coming from a room. I followed it which lead me all the way to a door with the name 'Donavan' written neatly on his own plaque.

The door was slightly adjar and I caught a glimpse of him on a chair with a guitar in his hands. He wasn't exactly playing anything, he was just tuning the strings and seeing if they make right sound. Not seeming to notice my presence at his door I decided to say something smug.

"Didn't quite peg you as a guitar player..."

He looked slightly surprised to see me there but smirked either way.

"What did you 'peg' me as?"

I shrugged nonchalantly and walked into the room and made myself comfortable on his black leather couch - which I was considering stealing for myself.

"Dunno. Bass, electric guitar..."

I gasped dramatically.

"A keytar!"

His eyebrows shot into his hairline.

"A keytar?!"

I shrugged like it obvious.

"What? You wear a leather jacket."

He scoffed with disbelief and set his guitar on the ground.

"So guys who wear leather jacket supposedly play keytars?"

I flipped my hair over my shoulder.

"Girls too. Don't be sexist."

He scoffed again and picked up his guitar and began to fiddle with it again.

"Play something for me..."

His response was immediate.

"No."

"Why?"

I immediately whined like a child and pouted. He looked up momentarily and looked back down again.

"Because..."

"Well how else are you gonna prove to me that you're not some back alley keytar playing, dungeons and dragons master, punk rock loving rock star?"

He blinked, once, twice and another time again. Opened his mouth like he was contemplating saying something, closed it again and sighed.

"What the hell goes on through your mind?"

I shrugged and whined again.

"Play me something!"

"Ugh! Fine..."

After fiddling with his guitar another few minutes he placed the guitar in his hands and played the backtrack to 'You & I' by One Direction.

I began to sway along to the mellow tune while humming along to the song. At some point I had closed my eyes while swaying along to the song.

"Wow bro... Never pictured you as a One Direction fan."

I opened my eyes to be met with who looked an older version of Donny standing in the doorway. He had a teasing smile on his face with mischievous eyes. His eyes drifted across the room and they landed on me then his grin widened even more.

He approached me and took out his hand. I stood up to greet when I noticed our height difference. And I thought Donavan was tall but this guy was a giant. He rubbed his hand behind his neck.

"Hey... I'm Elijah. The idiots obviously cooler older brother."

I shook his hand when Donavan scoffed and put his guitar down before mumbling the words 'You're my only older brother'.

"I'm Lucy..."

He smirked just a little bit like he knew something that I didn't before letting go of my hand.

"I know..."

The encounter left me baffled and he turned as he turned towards the door and began walking saying something about dinner being ready.

I sighed then fell back into the comfy couch and whined. This may be my last moments with this majestic couch- Should I steal it? I mean no one will know it was me especially since I didn't-

"What are you doing? Dinner's ready."

"Oh nothing... I just really love this couch."

In a split second that I couldn't have anticipated, Donavan had his knee in between my thighs and my arms pinned above my head.

My heart sky rocketed out of my chest as my hazel gaze met his forest green which had significantly darkened that had my body reacting in a weird way.

"I bet you'd love it even more if I fucked you into oblivion on it but unfortunately I'm quite famished so come down for dinner or I'll eat you..."

To say I was stunned was an understatement but a growing need inside of me flourished to life as a hot desire pooled in between my thighs and I was a bit scared he would notice with his leg.

Before I could even say shit he smirked and let go of me. For a split second I contemplated staying but he moved away before I could make a irrational decision and walked out of the room leaving me hot and bothered.

That asshole!

That sexy, hot, entitled asshole!

After taking a few minutes to collect myself I finally left his room and the dreaded couch and made my way down two flights of stairs before walking into a chaotic living room.

There I met Katherine and her two year old son Johnny who was an angel - if I do say so myself - and Elizabeth who was quite energetic and perky that you'd mistake her for the younger sister.

After all the introductions we gathered around the table, said grace and dug into the delicious homemade food and if I had to be honest, it was some the best I'd ever had.
