First Day at the Dungeon Hunters Academy (Part 2)

Of course, that man was just imagine things. The only reason for Sora to bow his head was that he had good manners taught by Rose. Sora felt that if word of him being unrespectful reach her ears, well, he didn't want to know what will happen to him.

Returning to the main point, Sora looked that his backpack was waiting for him like Kaneki told him earlier. Sora took it and then with the help of some students that were there helping the newbies, he went to the dorms.

He would share the room with another four boys until he finished his studies. The problem was that he was only going to share the room only two to three rooms, and then he would become a traitor to hunters and adventurers. At least, that was what he was thinking.

Sora arrived at the door of his room. Taking a long breath, he opened the door.

The first thing he saw were a pair of arms going towards him and hugging him.

"Finally the fifth arrived," a female voice said.

"Haha! Yu seems very excited, but better you let her go. I think you are affixing her!" another voice was laughing. This time the voice was a male's.

"What do you think his class is?" Another male voice whisper softly. One could said that the owner was a shy person.

Finally, the arms that were hugging him let him go. That way Sora was greeted with three smiling boys, two have blonde hair and one of them, that was like hiding, had dark blue hair, and a orange-haired girl.

"'She' is actually a 'He', in other words, a boy," the one that Sora suspected was Yu, told to the boy that said he was a girl.

"Told 'ya," the girl smiled triumphal.

Sora was a bit stunned with a girl being in a room of boys.

The girl seemed to guess what was he thinking because of her next words, "My name is Rubí, I am in this room because there is no female nor male dorms. After the test, the school create the teams in accordance to their class, skills, level, and compatibility. Also, the principal thought it was a good idea to mix both genders to help with the trust between teammates," Rubí finished explaining.

"And in addition, we are the freaks apparently, just for you to consider what that means. Oh, I'm Gareth," the boy that said he was a girl continue with the explanation.

"What do you mean?" Sora asked them.

"They mean that during the first an second weeks of recruitment, we didn't received our fifth mate. Teachers began to consider to let us being a team of four or for us to join the next batch of students. So this week was our last hope to have a fifth companion or risk it to wait another two weeks to get a fifth," Yu tried to explain their situation in few words.

Good for him Sora understood what he was trying to say, but then, guilt hit his conscience because of his sooner depart.

Sora nodded and looked for his bed.

The room was big and was also divided in five rooms. 'That is expected if boys and girls are to share rooms, we still need some privacy at the end', Sora thought. The center of the room had the form of an hexagon, each side of it had a door, five for the inside rooms and the one to go outside.

Sora looked at the doors, and Rubí smiled brightly.

The only one that was close was the one between Rubí and the shy boy.

Sora went to there and tried opened the door. He quickly found that there was no lock.

"It's a voice lock, you need to say something so it recognizes your voice," Rubí explained with a funny expression on her face.

"Open," Sora said softly.

The door opened like Rubí said was going to happen.

Inside he found a bed, a desk, a bookshelf and a closet.

He put his backpack next to the desk and opened the closet. There he found three sets of daily uniforms and one for sports. He left them there and then took his backpack and took out his few own things.

Rubí, Gareth and Yu were active people and their curiosity took the best of them, so they peeked through the door and saw that Sora didn't have many belongings.

"You don't have many things, do you-....Ouch!" Yu made an observation and both, Rubí and Gareth, hit him in the back of his head.

"Don't mind what he said... em... what's your name? My name is Francis," the silent shy guy was more sensible than the three, so he spoke first before any of the other two got a chance to say something that might get things more awkward.

"I'm Sora," he answered expressionless.

"Ni-nice to meet you," Francis stuttered a bit. He didn't expected the emotionless answer of Sora.

"That's a good name," Rubí commented with her bright smile.

Sora knew that they were waiting for him to answer Yu's unasked question, well, except Francis.

With a sigh, Sora explained a bit of his situation, "I am an orphan, and the majority of the things I had were property of the orphanage."

Yu and Gareth got silent, Rubí was a bit awkward and Francis was trying to seem busy with his clothes.

"Ahem…" Rubí coughed and change the topic, "Right, what's your 'class'? I'm a light warrior and I can use fire magic, Gareth is a…"

"I'm an archer and shooter but I don't have magic like Rubí," Gareth interrupted Rubí.

"In my case, I'm a heavy warrior with earth magic, but I can also be a light warrior," Yu was proud of his two classes.

Sora nodded and then looked at Francis waiting for his answer.

Francis blushed a bit, "I-I'm a healer and a priest," he stuttered.

'This group has a good formation, I suppose the school tries to arrange the team that way,' Sora thought, he was a bit lost in his thoughts that he didn't notice that Rubí was talking to him.

"…ra"

"…ora"

"Sora!" Rubí yelled.

"Yes!" Sora snapped back from his thoughts.

"I was asking you what's your 'class'" Rubí asked again, this time she seemed impatient.

"I'm a…" Sora suddenly remembered that the person in charge of his examination didn't told him. He quickly check his info window to see if he had an answer.

"Yo-your 'class' is in the 'Occupation'," Francis said, he thought that Sora didn't knew that, which was correct but he had his suspicious after reading 'Assassin' in the vampire info.

"I still don't understand why they call it 'class' when the System calls it 'Occupation', it's confusing!" Yu complained.

Sora was silent, because with the logic they were saying, his 'class' was 'Dungeon Master'. He was in problem.

"So… what's your 'class'?" Rubí asked again.

"I'm a…" Sora was lost, he quickly tried to find something he can said, "I'm an summoner."

"Really? Can you show us?!" Yu had shining eyes.

Sora was speechless.

He didn't want to show his skill, especially because of its conditions. If he uses the Monster Summon skill, the monster would be completely harmless devoid of any self awareness.

Suddenly, an idea popped from his head.

"I'm afraid of summoning something beyond our level, so better we wait after having some training and control over our skills," his answer was logical and somewhat true. What would happen if he summons something over level 20 that doesn't fight because of its harmless nature of being summoned outside of a dungeon. Furthermore, the skill didn't say if he can cancel or end the summon, so he could only guess it's permanent until someone finishes the monster.

"Mmm... what you say is true... I hope we can see your skill soon!" Gareth said with a smile.

Francis looked in silence the exchange. One of his skills let him know of someone was lying or telling the true.

A green aura surround the person if he was telling the true, if not they are surrounded with a red one.

However, Sora was not surround by any color.

It wasn't the first time Francis experienced something like that, but it usually happened when the person in hand was of a higher level than him. In other words, only with the instructors and kids from a superior year and more happened.

He wondered what level Sora was to avoid his skill.

"Well, now then, do you have a private instructor? Everyone here has, so I hope you too," Yu said thoughtlessly.

Everyone looked at him, even Gareth facepalmed himself.

That topic was a delicate one. Reason: no every student has a private instructor, even if they share room with students who had.

"Yes, I have," Sora calmly answered.

He was getting used with their impulsivity.

"Good!" Yu said with a triumphal smile looking at Rubí, Gareth and Francis.

Rubí rolled her eyes.

Francis sighed quietly.

Gareth was speechless with Yu's attitude.

Sora smiled.

It was going to be a good month after all.

Suddenly, Rubí's eyes opened like plates, "Sora's smile is beautiful!"

Sora stopped smiling and looked at her expressionless.

"Yes, better like that. I don't want you to steal all the girl's attention with that pretty face of yours with the addition of a smile that can start a war," Gareth said with his bright smile.

Francis and Yu nodded in agreement.

Rubí just laughed.

"Let's go to bed now, it's getting late," Gareth looked through Sora's window and saw that they were talking for a while.

"Good night!" Yu smiled brightly.

"See ya tomorrow!" Rubí waved her hand.

"Night…" Francis whispered with a light smile.

"Sleep well, Sora," Gareth said.

Sora nodded and Gareth entered his room.

After his room's door closed, Sora said to himself, "They are good people, hopefully they don't get involved with everything, but I doubt it."
