Chapter 4: Those hands of yours should only touch me

I smirked as I watched the foolish woman tremble in resistance but still carried on with the action. Despite her forehead not touching the floor I accepted the action nonetheless. This should at least teach her to be in her place.

I looked around the large, lavish room. When I resided with the humans in my past life I never once saw such luxury. Metals, jewels, and the like adorned the walls, floors, and ceilings. The three thrones themselves were made from a mix of the finest of materials. I am no blacksmith, but anyone could tell that the room resembled a jewelry mine.

A small smile overtook my face as I remembered the beautiful and bountiful world of Asgard. As it was the part dedicated to Gods, the name foretells the beauty of such a place. Pristine columns, spacious rooms, fruits of the finest quality, and the gold which never failed to touch a place. I sighed the past was a time of both wistfulness and foolishness of my end. But it is not worthless in any way.

As these thoughts circled my mind, my eyes set themselves on a stark difference which I had failed to catch previously.

I walked forward barefoot on the carpet towards the kneeling woman.

I then reached forward and grabbed her collar of the beautiful dress she wore. I then looked at Loki with even further contempt.

"Am I not your empress, Loki?"

Loki waved his hand dismissively.

"How could you state something so obvious?"

"Hmmm. I apologize Loki. But what part of this display is obvious? As the empress I am not adorned in such clothing that a mere concubine is allowed. That just presents to the public, the potential weaknesses of this Kingdom. Don't you agree, Loki?"

Loki smirked and tilted his hand to the side as he surveyed my proof. The two women seethed as I smirked.

I truly am a protector of mankind, but also the true executioner of those who need to be taught a lesson.

"Oh my dear, I agree wholeheartedly with you. Arvis, take the empress to Miss Reina."

A broad shouldered and tanned guard bowed his head slightly as he walked over to me. I looked up as he towered over me. I tilted my head to the right as I checked off some things on my list for judging a knight. What struck me the most was the particular shape of his arms. They were bulky and veined, presenting proof of his hard work and strength. To top it all of, the warm pool behind his amber eyes spelled loyalty. All perfect traits to a warrior.

I smiled and turned to Loki.

"Along with presenting me the treatment deserving of an empress, I will also be taking this man as my second guard."

Loki's right eye twitched as his voice thundered.

"Will I lose my whole regiment of Royal knights to you today, my empress?"

I scoffed at the malice which dropped in his voice. To me, it's always quite hilarious to see the god of trickery defeated.

"What is your name, knight?"

The knight slightly blushed as he bowed his head slowly and squeaked.

"Arvis of the house of Cuadron."

I nodded. It sounded like a noble house from the way he mentioned the house.

I then turned to the knight and ran my hand along the breastplate he wore. The metal was that of pure steel ore. I then cocked my head to the side and knocked on the breastplate. A slight tremor reached my ears. The metal was of good quality. I smiled. Loki has never changed. He had always honored those who served him, while also shackling they so that they could never leave him.

Manipulative son of a bitch.

The sudden silence in the room interrupted my thinking as I watched Loki wall over to me angrily. I instinctively reached for my side only to find no hilt there.

Great. I'll just have to use these lousy arms if push comes to shove.

Before I could do it say anything Loki grabbed my right arm and brought it up to his lips. He then pouted as he bit the inner part of my wrist. I flinched. His smirk lengthened as his azure eyes shone. His feathery eyelashes resting and tickling my arm as he whispered.

"Those hands of yours should only touch me."

......
