Welcome to the orphanage!

I went to the orphanage the next day. It was huge and it contained 600 orphans. I went inside with Marcy behind me to be greeted by a girl around my age. "Boo! Ha! Did I scare you?" said the girl with a brown stuffed bear in her hands. She had blonde hair, wore a pink dress and had had blue eyes. "She must be very scared! Everyone is scared of the great all powerful Rose!" she said with a smerk on her face. I knew she said that last line in her head since it echoed that's how I knew when something was a thought or a speech. I didn't flinch at all I didn't think she was that scary. "Rose, do you mind getting out of the way for me and Avyanna to pass?" asked Marcy. "Oh! This is rose! The new orphan coming over! Well, Avyanna I am very glad to meet you!" said Avyanna with a very convincing smile on her face. Marcy walked off to let all the children play for a while. "If this rat steals my spotlight in this orphanage, I'll throw her pretty face out the window!" she thought in her face. I thought she was weird but I went on to meet the other orphans. "Hi I'm Destiny and I'm eight! I like your brown hair!" said another girl. She was a brunette like me, was my exact age and had green eyes and pretty freckles. "Thanks! I'm Avyanna and I'm eight too! I like your braces!" I replied. "Thanks they're getting removed soon!" she said. "I heard there was a new girl coming soon and I knew it must be you!" she said. "Wow! She's very pretty!" Destiny thought in her head. Small talk with Destiny soon became talk and we were walking about dragons, books and laughing and a funny pictures. Everyone heard us talking and quickly waned to become friends with us including Rose's friends. "Oh no she didn't! She just stole all my attention!" Rose thought in her head. I heard her think that and knew here was trouble coming our way. But I wasn't any chicken so I stayed there to hear what she was about to do or say. Soon Rose came walking in our direction. "Hey there miss poopy face! Ew what smells! Oh wait- it's you!" Rose proclaimed. Everyone started laughing except for my best friend Destiny. I wasn't in the mood for Destiny's crap so I stood up for myself. "Hey that wasn't very nice!" I yelled at Rose. Everyone gasped and the room suddenly turned quiet. "Excuse me! Did you answer me back!? Do you know who you are talking to?!" Yelled Destiny right in my face. "Hey Avyanna I think you should chill out. Rose is the daughter of Marcy, the owner of the orphanage. Rose could get you kicked out. Destiny whispered to me. I didn't listen to her. I waned to give Rose what she deserved. "Get your stank breath and attitude of my face before I call Marcy on you!" I yelled a Rose. Everyone stepped back to not get involved but still couldn't seem to mind their own business. "What?! Ha! Who's gonna call Marcy? You, the newbie who she won't believe! Ha I'll call Marcy on you!" Rose said. She then got a bottle of water put it all over her eyes, drew marker on her face and handed the pen to me. Without hesitation she then made screams and cries cover the whole room from her mouth as tears ran down her face faster than lightning. Marcy ran into the room to see me with the pen in my hand and drawings all over Rose's crying face. "What happened here? Avyanna! Did you do this?!" yelled Marcy. "Yes she did! And she put it all over my face! Permanent marker!" stated. "Avyanna go to time out! 10 Minutes!" demanded Marcy. I didn't have any other choice so I went to time-out. "She's lucky she got away with that! I will definitely get her expelled next time!" thought Rose. I stayed in there for 10 minutes and when she said my time out was over I left to talk to Destiny in a corner. "Avyanna, quite a risk to take for a bully like Rose." said Destiny. "Well, I know that now. What a liar! I should have called her out." I said. "Everyone! In bed please!" commanded Marcy all of us went to our small, colorful orphanage beds and called in a night.

I woke up early at 6:00 in the morning to discover the orphanage had a T.V. I sat down by the floor and turned on a channel. I then stopped at a channel to see a news channel. I stopped the T.V. because I had recognized two faces in a picture on the T.V. What the news reporter said had changed my life. "The married couple who had lost their only beloved child apparently just couldn't take their stress. We had some sad news that the couple had committed suicide from stress of their loss and left a bloody mess. Police went interrogating their building after noticing they hadn't payed debt in a while and found the reason by discovering a disturbing scene of a two bloody nooses with the couple hanging from it." said the reporter. My whole body just froze. Those people were my parents. It stabbed in the heart to realize my parent's death is my fault. It felt like stones to the ass to think that my parents had died of my selfish deeds of running away. I switched the T.V. off and silently cried the rivers out of my body to the ground and cleaned it with tissues when done. "Why is the T.V. on?" I heard echoing from another room. I recognized the voice... it was Marcy! I quickly rushed back to bed with the others while stuffing my head in a pillow as the oceans fell from my eyes. Sleeping the rest of the night in a dark, depressing fear.
