(Chapter fifty seven.)

Sara's party stumbled into the tiny trading outpost before midmorning, and as she suspected, their appearance was met uneasily. Sara's hopes of questioning the occupant's dissipated as people scattered. Though a few stuck around, partly hidden, to watch them march through the town.

Sara ordered a quick search of the outpost, even though she was pretty sure she could do it more efficiently by herself, but nothing turned up. Sara squinted out into the desert. Kylo Ren and his troops were likely still about ten minutes away, so it might be more productive to wait for him to arrive and then fan out around and beyond the outpost to continue the search. But before Sara could give any orders, something just in her frame of view caught her eye. Something orange and vaguely familiar, quickly rolling out from behind a flimsy looking building.

The droid was here, and it was rolling after a young woman and two men. All four looked like they had been trekking across the planet. One of them looked like the pilot. If Sara's eyes weren't deceiving her, it was practically a miracle.
