(Chapter sixty one.)

Their relationship- if you could even say that- hadn't been the same for a long time, but they have never abandoned one another. And they had never been so tense with one another, either. Sara could feel they were both reaching their breaking point.

Earlier in the day, an officer had showed up at her quarters informing her that she was not expected to report to the bridge that day. Sara was supposed to be resting, as if Supreme Leader Snoke cared whether or not she overexerted herself and died. A convenient excuse to get her out of the way for a little while and make their own plans.

Sara could hardly complain- the past few days had been brutal on her body, with little to no rest, constant fighting, lots of falling, and more than her fair share of injuries. Sara would take an opportunity to rest, and hopefully get back to some semblance of her normal self. A version of her that wasn't constantly second guessing herself, making horrible decisions, bickering with her partner, and failing miserably.
