Chapter Two

Cooper

Cindy walk towards me with a wide grin in her face.

"Congratulations my boy." She said, mimicking what my dad said earlier before they left.

"Shut up!" I groaned and bang my head on the desk infront of me. Im inside my office and Cindy keeps on annoying me.

"You didn't seems pleased of their news." She pointed out, i sigh and look at her with a no emotions.

"I told them i dont need some food critics to write some reviews about how good my restaurant is."

She roll her eyes at me. "Oh, dont be so cocky."

"Im not, im just stating the fact." I shrugged.

"When did your father say they will come anyways?" Cindy asked making me groan again.

"In a few days when the renovations are done, i guess.." Was my only reply to her and lean back on my seat.

"But the renovations are already done." She asked with a confused look on her face.

I scratch the back of my neck and said. "Oh..about that.."

"You lied to them!?"

"No i didn't..well..not particularly though. Its still true that the renovations aren't done yet." I reasoned out to her and grin at her.

"Cooper! We're just waiting for the paint to dry, its not gonna take that long." She answered in disbelief and slap the back of my head.

"Ouch! That hurts you know." I mumbled, caressing the part where she slap me.

"Oh dont be so dramatic." Cindy said, rolling her eyes at me.

"I may or may not told them that i have to attend an important event somewhere..." I trailed of and look up to see her glaring at me.

"And let me guess.. that's not true either right?"

I slowly nod at her earning a pinch from her.

"Hey! That one hurts!" I said, pouting at her.

"Cooper Fuentabella! You're not a five year old boy, stop pouting. It doesn't suit you! You look like a duck who's about to get cooked." She scolded me like a mother.

"Bitch." I whispered under my breath.

"Are you saying something?" She asked and squint her eyes at me. I quickly shook my head at  her.

"So what's your plan?"

"Hmm.. I dont know. I'll just go somewhere for a few days then come back." I shrugged.

She sigh and look at me before grinning like she always do when she's thinking about something good for her and ofcourse bad for me.

"Cindy, No. Dont even thi--."

"I have a perfect plan where!" She cuts me off pinching both of my cheeks to stop me from talking. I slapped her hands away from my face and massaged the part where she pinch me.

"And i wont take no for an answer." She continued and grin devilishly at me.

"I know, thats why i didn't protest." I mumbled, mentally rolling my eyes at her.

This is gonna be torture for sure..

*****

A very lively Cindy runs towards me. Beaming from ear to ear.

"Welcome to Fransisco De Paraiso!" She excitedly announced like she owns the place. Some people looked at her weirdly as she open her arms wide while spinning.

She stopped and smiled infront of me. She's wearing a large summer hat in her head and a floral dress that fits her sunglasses. I cant lie, Cindy is a really beautiful woman but she's just not my type.

"Why are we here?" I asked and looked around. The place is quite good actually, im just confused to why she brought me here. She knows that i hate beaches.

"Your horoscopes says that this is the perfect place where you can find your soulmate." She answered and wiggle her eyebrows.

I frown at her.

"Cindy, how many times do i have to tell you that i dont want to date someone?"

"Ahmm..probably a billion times." She joked and chuckle but stopped when she saw that im not joking.

"Ohh come on Cooper, its been three years since the last you dated someone." She whined.

"Its because i dont want to date someone Cindy. We talked about this."

"I know, i know.. but... i just want you to find someone.."

I smiled at her. "That's sweet hon, i appreciate it. But seriously the right person will come, there's no rush."

She nods and sigh.

"Let's just enjoy this little getaway, okay?" I cheerfully said, trying to cheer her mood up again. I was successful when her grin was back in her face.

"Oohhhh... this is gonna be fun, i wrote some of the things we need to try while we're here." She cheerfully said and held my hand pulling me inside the hotel to check in.

After a few minutes of talking and arranging the rooms and the stuffs they handed us our room keys.

"First we'll go to the restaurant downtown to eat dinner then stroll to the stores to buy some souvenirs before heading back here to rest cause we have a busy day tomorrow!"

My eyes widen and i gulp. When Cindy uses the word 'Busy' that means we really are going to do a lot of stuffs.

"Ohh..ahm.. we can just relax tomorrow. To be honest im tired because of the renovations and stuffs and i just want to re--."

"But i want to try surfing tomorrow... i never got the chance to try it before 'cause im always busy.." She softly said and looked down with a sad face.

"Ahm... well, yeah. I guess we can try surfing tomorrow then rest when we're don--."

"Then let's try boat sailing as well! Or the one with the motor thingy, i don't know what's it called but yeah that one and ohh! Maybe we can buy some nice items too, they said that there are nice summer stores around here, let's check that one out too. Im so excited oh my gosh, i cant wait to for tomorrow to come!!!" She excitedly said as i just stood there and looked at her with disbelief.

I wish i can just go back home and curl like a ball in my bed.
