Cooper
The loud music greets me when i step inside the bar. The smell of alcohol and cigarettes filled my nose causing me to scrunch my nose to the unpleasant smell.
"Hell yeah, this is what i called party!!" Cindy shouted in order for me to hear her due to the loud music.
"Do we really need to stay here? We can just go back to the hotel and order some beers, like we always do back in my apartment." I whisper in her ears. She shook her head at me and frown
"Come on, loosen up grandpa." She groaned and pull me to the bar counter pushing me to sit the chair stool.
I looked around and started to get nervous. The last time i was in a party like this something bad happened.
"Two martinis please."
"Im not drinking." I said, stopping Cindy to bought one for me. She ignored me and just roll her eyes at me.
"Relax, nothings gonna happen. I swear."
"You said that before too.." I mumbled. Her eyes soften and she sigh.
"Okay, how about this.. we'll play a game, if you win we'll comeback to the hotel and order beer like you want but if i win then we'll stay here. Deal?"
She said and held her hands for me to shake. I think for a moment before groaning. "Fine."
"Yey! So here's the deal.." She trailed off and look around the bar before she grin and look at me with her devilish smile.
Oh crap! This is not gonna be good.
"See that girl?" She pointed to the table a few meters behind us.
I saw a girl sitting there by herself and drinking. She's wearing a very fitted dress but it definitely suits her. Her blonde her is tied in a high ponytail that makes her beauty more clearer since there's no single hair that blocked her face.
"If you managed to flirt with her for like thirty minutes then you win, but if not then you know what will happened." She said with a cheeky smile.
"Thirty? Nope. Not gonna happen." I immediately disagree.
Cindy groan. "Okay, twenty five minutes."
"Twenty minutes."
"Eighteen minutes! Or im gonna kick your ass!." She irritatedly said with a determination in her voice.
And this time im the one who groan. "Darn! Okay.. Eighteen minutes and we're going home!"
"Pffftt.. if you win, but if not then byebye." She annoyingly said and push me away from her.
"Perfect she's coming this way!" She excitedly squealed.
Indeed the girl is walking towards our direction. She sat in the empty stool infront of me and ask the waiter for some drinks. I stand there and keep on staring at her not knowing how to approach her.
"Did your parents ever tell you that staring is rude?" I heard a melodious voice said, snapping me back to reality.
"Oh..im sorry, im just mesmerized by your beauty and didn't notice that i was staring too long. My apologies my lady." I respond with a cheeky smile and sit on the empty stool beside her.
"If you dont mind, can i buy you a drink?" I said and look at her. She's not looking at me and just staring at her drink.
"Do i look like i cant buy my own drink?"
"No.. but i inist, consider it as my peace offering."
She look at me and smirk. "So you're apologizing for telling me that im beautiful?"
I laugh and shook my head. "No, im apologizing for not asking your name in the first place."
She smile and held her hands for me to shake. "Shane."
"Cooper." I said and mentally high five myself. My flirting skills is not that bad, i guess.
"Are you from here?" She asked, making a small talk. I can see that she's interested at me. I guess, i broke down her cold exterior so easily.
"Nope. Just taking a break, yah know. Chillin."
She nods and smile. " Me too, im from the city. A little far away from here. I just want to escape my busy world behind."
"Really? I guess we're destined to be with each other then, fate bought us here tonight for a certain reason." I cheekily said and wink at her. I saw her cheeks turns crimson red.
I smile at her. "Cute."
We talk about other stuffs and i can say that she's not that bad. I didn't even realize that i was talking to her for so long and i forgot about the deal i had with Cindy.
"It was fun talking to you, but i need to head back to the hotel. I have something important to do tomorrow morning." She said.
"Here's my number though, maybe we can hang out again sometimes.." She added and stand up, stumbling a bit.
"Can you walk? I can escort you back to your hotel if you want."
"I appreciate the offer but no need, i can manage. Thank you though, you really are a gentleman." She said and kiss my cheeks.
"But i insist, i dont want you to go alone."
"Actually im not alo--."
"Shane come on, its time to go." A cold and husky voice said behind us.
We both look behind us and my eyes widen when i saw who it was.
"Its you!" I said and pointed my finger at her. She just look at me without emotion.
"You two knew each other?" Shane asked beside me. I nod and the girl infront of us just roll her eyes.
"Oh, he's the pervert i was telling you about the other day." She said and shrugged.
"I am not a perv--."
"Whatever. Shane lets go." She cuts me off and drag her friend away from where i was.
Damn that girl! She's really getting on my nerve.
"Wiieeeee how did it go? You were there for too long. Did you get her number? Are you two going on a date? Is she really beautiful up clo--."
"Cindy breath...breath.." I cut her rambling off. She inhales and exhales before smiling wide at me again.
"So!? How did it go?"
"It went great at first but then a certain woman had to ruin my mood for a second time again."
"Huh?" She confusingly asked and i just shook my head and shoot daggers at the woman who dare called me a pervert for the second time for fudge sake.
Ill make sure, she'll regret calling me a pervert. Im gonna play her in her own game.
