"By the way system, I heard noises while I was fighting Mai what was that?" I ask curiously it was honestly quite distracting.

MMmmMMmnn 'dammit all how did we get into this situation I was currently being held upside down by what seems to be sentient vines. I yell out as I use my machete to try and free myself I succeed in cutting the vines holding me up.
Unfortunately, I didn't think this through because now I'm falling face-first into the mud, or at least I was before my enhanced dexterity kicked in and allowed me to rotate my body at an angle that would allow for me to land on my back...getting soaked in mud in the process*sigh* "at least it isn't my face, this is already progress."

Find Aang and Katara

'What's with the low reward, I guess finding them shouldn't be too much of a problem'
"Aang, Katara! Where are you?" I try yelling out to no avail, I start to aimlessly wander around cutting the vines in my way before seeing Yue right in front of me. "...yue" I blink and she's gone. "I must've imagined it I didn't know I missed her that bad."
After walking around for a few more minutes I hear loud voices seemingly rushing towards my location, just when they were about to make contact with my back I turn around just in time to catch them before proceeding to push them back into the dirt and holding them hostage with the machete I was carrying, before realizing that it was Aang and Katara.
"What are you guys doing I've been looking all over for you two, where have you been," I say sounding extremely annoyed
She replies snidely "Yeah well I was looking for you as well so where were you?"
"I was actually chasing a girl," says Aang looking a little embarrassed. "What girl?" I hear my sister immediately latch onto the topic.
"It doesn't matter let's find Appa and get out of here," I say as demanding as possible.
"No, wait the swamp is still calling for me that tree in particular I think it's the heart of the swamp" Aang replies
" I don't care if its the swamps lungs, and for the last time this is just a run of the mill dirty swamp there's nothing weird or magical about it!" just as I finished saying this a giant swamp creature pops out of the lake and proceeds to start attacking us 'just my luck.
'It seems fixated on me' I think after it catches me for the 3rd time and I escape by cutting the vines holding me up but not before it throws me as hard as it can against the surface of a tree.

"AAAh" I scream out in pain "Sokka!" Aang yells out he uses his airbending to create airblades that cut through the monster vines like tofu, unfortunately, that's not enough to stop the monster from pulling me in his grasp and sinking me into his body.
Katara waves her arms in a circular motion and forms large water blades that similarly cut through the monster like Aang only much more effectively cutting the monster in half and freeing me.
" *gasp* haa haa GUYS THERES SOMEONE INSIDE BENDING THE VINES GET HIM OUT!" I yell at the top of my lungs. Katara goes ahead and does so quite easily by bending his vines apart and forcing him out. After an interrogation from Aang, we were once again and learning about the swamp's supposed spiritual nature we were once again on our way flying on Appa but all I could think about was ' damn I was useless again I had to be saved so many times by Aang and Katar what's the point in trying to improve myself if it makes no difference... no I will be better, in fact, I will become the STRONGEST so that I never have to feel humiliated like that again.

"Hopefully this will help me increase my natural abilities a bit more," I say while I'm sitting there contemplating on how to be stronger, if I could learn that thing ty lee did against Katara then my chances against benders would significantly improve. I ended up falling asleep pondering ideas in which to increase my strength but not before promising myself 'i'll do better next time, I can't keep being dead weight'. 'I don't want to be the damsel in distress anymore.
(A/N: I honestly didn't like this chapter too much but at the end of the day this is a learning experience for me, a tool to get better at writing hopefully it'll get better soon and the characters will have more depth to them. Here I do my best at attempting Sokka's character development I honestly don't know how well or how bad I've done.)
