Chapter 75: Final Verdict

My judgment was final. I am to be imprisoned for five years. I willingly accepted it not because of guilt but because of the plain apathy, I am feeling towards everything that's happening right now.

Neuron's decision to keep the Chief alive made me so angry that I can't even feel anything now.

Among the people inside the courtroom, I could identify some faces. There was Loor.

It was really strange seeing him wearing such formal and expensive clothing, talking to high-ranking officials. It's bewildering to see him getting respect from people older than him.

In my memory, he was just that curly stickman who has a mole in the corner of his eyes and has the tendency to lie all the time.

Now I understand why it always seems like he is lying. Because he is. The entire time.

The life he narrated to us, his fake resolve to kill the king, and everything was all just lies he made up.

I also see Berlin. With his gray hair and eyeglasses.
