As Rein followed the villagers to the hut where the injured lady lied, on his way he could see several small wooden two-story houses built across a cart-sized road. The road was rough which looked like it was made through regular travelling with lots of footsteps and fine scales as if they were made by some vehicle.
People with average family of four were looking at rein with irksome looks as if they were dissatisfied by his sudden appearance. At some of the windows of the second Storey houses kids were peeking through the half-opened windows.
After walking for about two and a half kilometers, they reached the hut where the sick lady was kept. One could recognize the situation with the expression of the people who crowded the entrance of the house. There was dead silence, and it stood that way until the two kids who had previously wandered off-limits rushed to the hut were their ill mother was kept, but they were stopped at the doorsteps by one of the ten elders named Adil.
When the group of eight along with Rein, reached the hut. One of the seven men who went by the name Mat introduced rein to the nine elders and made them aware of the ongoing situation.
The ten elders LARK, HALDEM, VILSON, WALT, ADIL, NORD, FLUKE, STEVE, KORB and HEATH were sitting on a wooden porch when the group arrived. On hearing about offer that rein had made they confronted him.
LARK: You can't help her, nobody can. After the night a week ago she's already been an empty shell. All she's been do'in since last week is breathe and that too has been gradually fading.
HALDEM: She might not even survive the night. Most of her internal organs have been crushed by the anomality among the night beasts.
Rein: Anomality?
WALT: Yes, it stood on its hinge legs. Its strength was on par with 100 beasts combined. It was the first time that something so frightening had appeared.
NORD: We lost about seventy men just to that anomality.
"Enough of the chit-chat!", shouted KORB. We can't share anymore with a stranger. We don't even know if we can trust him yet.
"Can't agree more ", added FLUKE. [He's a man of few word :) ]
"Knowing the world as it is now, how could you let an intruder inside", shouted STEVE.
The group, which was on lookout at border, shook as they heard Steve's words.
The situation was all tensed in an instant.
"Calm down will you all", Adil uttered. "'I was the who let him inside, because he seems to be some kind of healer."
"He could be really useful if that is the case", said Nord.
"Well, its decided then, if you could keep your words i.e. heal the injured, then we'll keep ours", said Heath in a cocky voice.
Rein: I can heal her but only if I am left alone with her for at least ten minutes.
Heath: Huuuuhhh... why the fuck do you need to be alone with her. You can do it in front of us.
"I can't ", replied Rein.
"Is this some kind of pervy power which activates when you are alone with a woman", taunted Heath.
"Look, just give me ten minutes and I'll make her all right " Rein answered.
"Even if she's on the verge of death", questioned Vilson.
"Yes", replied Rein.
"Ok then we'll give you ten minutes, and if anyhow things go south we'll kill you", said Heath.
Rein agreed and marched inside the hut alone.
