Chapter 16: Thieves and Bandits

Jake pants wildly as he glares down at Accalia from across the way, his hands and feet are covered in mud and grass and his once clean clothes now resembled something he thought might exist in Accalia’s den as a chew toy.

“Fight harder!” Accalia growled as she lunged at him, in his mind her movements flashed before she even made them, but when Jake made to counter her actions she quickly adjusted her stance and made him fall onto the ground, “I can see your movements from a mile away!”

“That’s because you’re in my head!” Jake protested, “You’re literally being told by me what I’m going to do.”

“So are you,” she argued back, “Your job is to counter my counter and move before you think, thinking too long on what to do and where to go will land you in a world of hurt. Rely on your instincts!”
