30. Covering The Cleavage

"Would you like to go to the invitation in this cardigan? You better get rid of this thing before you look embarrassing." Charlos called his secretary, Rendra, through the handy talky.

"Do I look embarrassing to you?" asked Rissa. Her face looked innocent and pitiful.

"If you still wear this cardigan, you will look ridiculous. And, if your hands—" Charlos pointed at Rissa's chest. "cover your chest all the time, you'll get sore."

"Oh really? But, I'm not confident."

Charlos snorted impatiently.

"If you're not confident, just do this."

He pulled Rissa's hand tightly pressed against her chest, then tied it to his wrist. So, they stood next to each other like lovers. Rissa's other hand automatically rose again to cover her chest.

"Oops!" Charlos shook his head. "Your other hand should just hold your bag. Don't be busy covering your chest like that. All women have a destiny like that. You have to walk upright, lift your chin a little. Yeah, that's right. Now, you have to walk full self-confident."

Charlos was about to take her to walk with him, but Rissa let go of her hand from Charlos; her cheeks looked flushed. She tried to pull the tank up, but her efforts failed because the clothes were just that much.

"Thanks for the advice. You just tell me where is the party go on now. So, I can walk alone," said Rissa with a face that looked tense.

From the opposite direction, Rendra appeared. Then, he stopped halfway when he saw Rissa. Rendra nodded briefly then walked over to Charlos.

"Are you calling me, Sir?" asked Rendra. "What's the matter, Sir?"

"Here," Charlos handed Rissa's cardigan. "Please, keep this. If Rissa wants to go home, you must return it again."

"Oh, is Miss Carissa here?" asked Rendra innocently.

Charlos pointed at the woman in red in front of him. Rendra turned his head and then looked back at Charlos with his mouth wide open. "Really, Sir?"

Rendra deliberately approached Rissa, who had been standing tensed. His eyes saw Rissa from top to bottom without hesitation.

"Wow! Miss Carissa is so beautiful tonight. I was so surprised that I didn't even know you." Rendra's face was still gaping.

"Uhm, thank you, Mr Rendra," answered Rissa with a forced grin. She was still struggling to cover her cleavage with her bag and hands.

"Okay then. Rendra, you can go back to work!" exclaimed Charlos.

"Yes, Sir," replied Rendra.

Rendra stepped quickly and disappeared around the corner.

Rissa was still silent in her place. Her arse looks very beautiful from behind. Rissa's body shape becomes more beautiful because she wears high-heels which makes her even taller and sexier.

"Do you like to hang in there? The party must have started a long time ago. I thought you'd like to see the bride and groom walk down the red carpet."

Rissa turned around; her face suddenly looked pleading. "I told you I've never been here. You haven't told me where is the party."

"Rissa, I want to go there too. Don't you want to go there with me?"

Charlos didn't have to wait for Rissa to agree to his invitation. Once again, he forced Rissa's hand to hold his. So, Charlos seemed to be dragging Rissa. Finally, she was able to control herself and walked at a more steady pace.

Charlos pressed the elevator button. They waited for a moment, and then the elevator doors opened. Several pairs of eyes looked at them curiously. Since Charlos was used to this situation, he just smiled. The people in the elevator smiled back, and some nodded politely while calling his name.

With confident steps, Charlos led Rissa into the elevator. It feels so light and easy to hold the woman with this extraordinary metamorphosis next to him. It's not like if he was with Reva.

For example, they take a walk at the factory outlet or got an awkward situation at the Borobudur hotel. Charlos shuddered, trying to get the memory out of his mind. Hopefully, the media crew did not manage to take his photo at that time.

The people in the elevator wouldn't think anything of it when he held Rissa's hand. The woman is just an employee of Kharisma. They could assume that Charlos and Rissa met by chance, just ordinary business partners. It was so simple, and it didn't look like he was holding a mistress at all.

The elevator kept moving until the eighth floor. A few seconds later, the elevator doors opened. Charlos and Rissa were the first to come out. After that, the people behind them also came out.

Charlos and Rissa queued at the entrance because there were so many guests. He glanced at Rissa, whose face looked red.

"You are beautiful and graceful, Rissa."

Rissa turned, her smile was so sweet, and her chest rose and fell rapidly. She must be so nervous. Charlos squeezed Rissa's hand, which intertwined with his other hand. Rissa's hands felt freezing.

It seems what he did had made Rissa feel like she got electrocuted. Charlos could see Rissa's throat moving like she was swallowing saliva. How can a woman like Rissa look so awkward and nervous like this? Didn't she look so excited when she's performing on the Calipso d'café stage?

Charlos chuckled. He could feel Rissa's gaze starting to change towards her true nature.

Now, it's their turn to fill out the guest book. After shaking hands, they then entered the reception room.

Fresh red roses dominate the room decoration. Charlos and Rissa missed the entrance process of the bride and groom. Now, the bride and the groom are on the aisle.

Rissa looks so fascinated by her surroundings. Her smile always looks sincere, so it makes her white skin look so radiant. She was so used to standing up straight that he no longer remembered to cover up her cleavage.

Now, Rissa looks more mature, elegant, and confident. Actually, Rissa doesn't need to be shy about that dress because she really looks so beautiful. Charlos had even seen other women whose bodies were not at all supportive but so forced themselves to wear dresses that were more revealing than Rissa's.

After cutting the cake and raising glasses for cheers, the next event was dinner. Charlos kept shaking hands with several colleagues. Lots of company owners who come here.

Some of them did not hesitate to ask the woman who was holding Charlos's hand. Is that woman his girlfriend? Is that woman his fiance? It's easy to answer.

"No. Let me explain, this is Carissa, a business partner from Kharisma factory. Incidentally, I met her here. Of course, she is not my girlfriend," replied Charlos with a chuckle.

They nodded, believing every word Charlos said. After that question, Charlos no longer linked Rissa's hands. She moved away and looked around the room.

"Where are you going?" asked Charlos.

"I ... I want to find something to eat. You must be busy. I won't bother you again." Rissa slipped and left quickly.

"Wait!"
