Chptr 4 Finding the Orb

Walking slowly towards the Beginner's Forest, Ajy saw some gamers slaying some level 1 to level 3 monsters. He passed by them like he was strolling and wasn't even bothered by some monsters that constantly attacked him as he evaded the attacks and even parried some.

When some of the gamers saw him, they were flabbergasted as they never imagined a mere level 1 not being hit by monsters despite being surrounded.

"An expert! Wait! Sire Unknown, can you help us reach level 20 so that we could leave this Beginner's Village as fast as we can?" One of the gamers killing the level 1 to level 3 asked with excitement.

"Sorry but I have an important mission to do," Ajy simply answered as he constantly evaded the monsters attacks while moving forward.

"We can pay you 10 golds each if you want," The same player suggested.

Ajy stopped on his tracks as he now retaliated against the monsters and in just a few seconds, the monsters surrounding him was now gone without any skills used, "How about you make it 15 golds each... No, no no, make it 20 golds each and I can even teach you some basic techniques in surviving this game?"

"But 20 golds each is too much for us. One gold is already equivalent to 3 dollars and if we multiply it by 20, that would be 60 dollars," The gamer tried to reason with Ajy.

"You guys are still lucky you haven't experienced the pain of the first W.A.R. gamers. When I first joined, the exchange rate of gold to dollars was 1 is to 20," Then Ajy turned his back on them as he continued on his journey.

"Wait big brother, you mean you were a part of the First Gamers? Then how did you end up becoming level one again?" This time, it was a female gamer who talked. Ajy remembered her, she was Wild Flower.

"Nope, but I was a part of the Early Mid Gamers," Ajy replied not bothering answering her second question as he dashed towards the middle part of the Beginner's Forest.

"So he was a part of the Mid Gamers," Wild Flower murmured as she stared at the back of Ajy departing.

"What was he talking about being a part of the Early Mid Gamers?" Absolute Perfection asked Wild Flower as he has no idea about the history of the game.

Wild Flower harrumphed and left Absolute Perfection. She was pissed because the first gamer she actually approached was an expert and yet she believed this Absolute Perfection's words.

The one who replied to Absolute Perfection was the gamer who wanted to hire Ajy to carry them to level 20, "Early Mid Gamers are those people who entered the game 6 months after the game launched, Mid Gamers are those who entered the game after a year and the next were the Mainstream Gamers who were now level 100."

"Let's go follow sire Unknown and ask him to carry us and learn a few techniques from him," The gamer called Harsh Excavator suggested in which four others nodded.

"Then how come he was just level 1 now? Wouldn't he be at level 100 or above?" Absolute Perfection asked confused.

Hearing this, the gamers stopped on their tracks and pondered about this question. Then they went on their separate ways thinking that Ajy was someone who was deceptive.

Even Wild Flower was almost confused and realization got her that made her more pissed thinking about how she almost believed Ajy, "How could an Early Mid Gamer still at level 1? I won't believe it, at most he would be at the level 100!"

Meanwhile, the persona that the gamers were talking about was now somewhere inside the Beginner's Forest slaying some level 7 monsters despite being only level one.

After some time of constant grinding, the leveling notification was heard by Ajy that made him more brutal in slaying the monsters around him.

[Congratulations for reaching level 2!]

[Congratulations for reaching level 4!]

Upon reaching level 4, Ajy decided to move deeper inside the forest. Moving forward, he recognized the place he was at, it was in the vicinity of the Serpent of the Dark territory.

Since it was still daytime, Ajy went to collect some herbs around the area while waiting for the arrival of the night.

Inside the game, the 24 hours has two cycles of night time and daytime. The first cycle was the AM (based on the clock) cycle which has 6 hours day time and another 6 hours of night time. And the other cycle was the PM cycle which has another 6 hours day time and another 6 hours of night time.

Spending 2 more hours collecting herbs, Ajy saw that the environment is starting to dim and decided to now look for the orb as it can only be noticed during night time.

Not long after, Ajy saw the brilliant orb illuminating the area and he slowly checked the surroundings trying to look at the guardian of the orb - the Serpent of the Dark.

As he was slowly moving, he then noticed the bushes near him moving and using the techniques and knowledge he acquired throughout his W.A.R. experiences, he attacked the guardian of the orb.

Having dealt this Serpent a lot of times before, Ajy already knew of it's attack patterns and skills. So without further excitement, he was able to kill this monster after 15 minutes of fighting it since he only have his basic attack to use.

Before, Ajy would be excited if he leveled up faster. But it was different now since he has another plan in his mind, "It's time for the loots!"

"Pity, I didn't get any skills, but this is still a fortune for me," Ajy smiled as he equipped both the armour and the necklace.

After getting his loot, Ajy retrieved the orb he needed in his mission. As there was still time, he decided to increase his level and went to find level 15 and above monsters.

Since he knew the Beginner's forest like it was his own backyard, he easily spotted level 15 monsters. He started attacking them and after two more hours of grinding, his level rose until level 10.

He then decided to stop as he went back to the Beginner's Village finishing his mission. On his way, the gamers who saw him was immediately dumbfounded as they saw his level whilst they only leveled up once while the others were lucky to level up twice.

Harsh Excavator was the first to react as he suddenly sprinted towards Ajy, "Excuse me sire Unknown, we are now willing to pay you 20 golds if you can carry us to level 20!"

"Our trio is also willing to pay as long as you can help us sire Unknown," Another gamer excitedly butted in.

"It's going to be morning soon, and I have something to do during daytime so I can't help you this time, sorry!" Ajy explained but his heart was actually in pain as he badly needed these gold coins for him to execute his plan.

"What time do you usually play big brother?" Wild Flower asked him with twinkling eyes.

"Around 8 pm to 10 pm, it actually depends on how early I finish my work," Ajy replied.

"How long would it take us to reach level 20 if you will help us sire?" Harsh Excavator asked.

"Probably 2 nights, it still depends on how you cope up with the game." Ajy said.

"Then our group of five shall wait for your arrival sire. We are willing to pay you extra if we can really have our next class advancement in two nights." Harsh Excavator excitedly said that also made the other gamers nodded except Absolute Perfection.

"What is good at being level 10? I have friends who are even level 100!" Absolute Perfection commented on the side. Although Absolute Perfection's friends taught him some basics, they didn't teach him everything as mostly learning the game comes from personal gaming experience.

"Do you think we don't have our own groups of friends whose also at level 100?" One gamer smirked at Absolute Perfection.

"You think it's easy to level up in this game? What a noob!" Another gamer exclaimed.

"Big brother, why don't we add each other as friends so we can have easier contact?" Wild Flower suggested.

"Sure, but we also need a contract to sign to avoid scamming," Ajy smiled at them.

After adding each other as friends, Ajy went to finish his mission and acquired his prize.
