A recurring nightmare afflicted Khan's nights since the Second Impact. His dreams replayed the scenes of the crash of the Nak's spaceship, an alien race that the humans had defeated five hundred years ago.
Khan's life had turned upside-down after the tragedy. His mother had died during the incident, and the Nak's toxic mana had infected him. His father had managed to save him, but they ended up losing their home and name in the process.
The nightmares wouldn't let Khan forget about the Nak, so he decided to join the Global Army and learn to wield mana. He had to put an end to those dreams, even if that meant hunting down that alien race through the stars.

The elevator's doors were closed, but Khan could see right through them. His Uncle had come to pick him up, and only one reason could have pushed him to interrupt the couple's private moment.

Khan dressed and reached the elevator quickly but waited before its doors until Monica covered herself. He unlocked the lift afterward, and Prince Thomas' dutiful face entered his vision.

"The Excellencies are here, My Prince, My Lord," Prince Thomas announced. "They have landed shortly ago."

"Either is fine," Khan absentmindedly commented. The short announcement revealed far more relevant information, which Khan didn't fail to spot.

Khan didn't check the time but could see Baoway's sky was approaching the sunset. He must have spent slightly longer than half a day with Monica, meaning his hunch had been correct. The Excellencies had kept their schedules ready for his return.
