Khan rushed through the ship, failing to capture any of its features. The situation had to be beyond serious for Zalpa to behave like that, and the foreign happiness in his mind couldn't quell his anxiety.
The Niqols' ship was small. Khan only had to cross one door to enter a lab-like room that reminded him of what Liiza had turned his cargo area into.
Metal cauldrons stood in different spots on the floor, arrays of flasks and other containers hung from the walls, and red symbols littered every surface, but Khan only focused on Liiza. He found her sitting beside a few glowing runes, busy wiping her hands with a rag.
"What happened?" Khan immediately asked, noticing Liiza's timid blush but still unable to calm down.
"Come here first," Liiza smiled, stretching her arms toward Khan.
