Why or What?

"Why should I bother to help you?"

Rev sat on the dining table and asked. As he held his phone in one hand, his eyes skimmed over the important emails while the other had a glass of fresh cranberries juice.

"Cut it now. Since I woke up late today, I can only prepare an egg omelette and bacon." Caleb stopped Zeki before he could retort back to Rev with a childish remark.

"Also, if anyone wants oats or cornflakes, they can have it themselves." Caleb announced as he took his seat and ate his breakfast.

Xavier went inside the kitchen to make a bowl of oats for himself when Rev came and told him to bring another for him.

They ate their breakfast in silence.

"Rev, it's your turn to do the dishes for today." Bryan spoke as he drank his orange juice.

Rev didn't look at him and nodded his head.

"Boys put your dishes in the sink. Xavier and Rev will do the rest." Caleb told them.

After putting their dishes in the sink, Xavier and Rev were left alone.

The other three went to take a bath and get ready for the day.

Whereas, Aza at this moment was busy serving all the food on the table for her friends, whose biological alarm for waking up would soon go off.

The exact moment she placed the last cup of americano for herself. She heard the footsteps coming, eventually she saw Ines coming closer to the table and inspecting it.

Ines looked at the dishes,"Aza, what did you do now?" Her eyes held curiosity.

Aza paused and stared at Ines,"Why do you think I did something?"

Ines made herself comfortable.

"The question here isn't 'why' but 'what'." She emphasised on the last word.

"No, the question here is still 'Why', what gave you that idea?" Aza stubbornly asked. She didn't want to back off without receiving answers to her questions.

'Why is she even doubting my good intentions?' She thought, as she couldn't pinpoint why Ines had enquired her. When she just wanted to pacify them for her unexpected prank on them.

Her gaze remained stuck on Ines.

"Isn't it obvious? You made our favourite breakfast food. Don't others do this when they want to avoid getting their friends angry?"

Ines responded and she began to put butter on her toast. The moment she moved the toast near to her mouth, Aza took it from her hands.

"Are you for real?"

She bonked Ines's head lightly. She gave the toast back to her friend.

Ines pouted her lips at Aza, she grudgingly glanced at her.

"Awww…. My old Ines is angry at me? I would suggest that you should stop binge watching too many kdramas with Serene and Livia. Those dramas are destroying your intelligent brain cells. If you don't consider my advice now, then it won't be long before you start to doubt your own existence." Aza explained calmly to Ines, whose expression kept changing from grumpy to terrified.

'Aza isn't wrong though I should stop watching dramas. Yesterday I even had a dream where the kidnapper after kidnapping me had taken away the TV, tablet, laptop and my smartphone. His only reason was that his boss had ordered him to not let me watch any kdrama anymore. Next second, I found myself screaming so loudly that the whole room began to shake. Then I fell down from my bed and hit my head." She messaged her forehead where she could feel a small bump.

"Ines, where are you lost?" She felt her shoulders get jerked by Livia.

"Huh?" She looked at them in full confusion.

"We have been calling your name for more than 2 mins still we got no response from you. We got worried that I had to jerk your shoulders to get your attention." Serene narrated everything.

"Are you fine? Do you have a fever? No you don't." Serene checked Ines's temperature.

Aza settled down at her seat,"No need to worry guys. She just remembered her last night's dream."

"How's the breakfast? Don't even ask or say why I made it. I remember you, all of you acted like I went to eat outside by myself, without telling you all about it."

Then she continued with her breakfast. She knew the fact that if she didn't then they would continue to either stare at her or bombard her with questions.

'If I didn't start to eat, they won't even touch and my hard work will go downhill since the warm food will turn cold.' Aza pitied herself in advance.

They watched her and followed her suit.

They finished off every bit of food. Their faces contained big smiles of satisfaction on them.

Livia grinned, "I would still suggest Aza to be a chef."

"I couldn't have any control on my hand. I kept devouring the food."

"She didn't cook much yet whatever she cooked. It tops for me. The bestest breakfast I ever had."

They couldn't stop complimenting Aza who sat with a nonchalant face.

They could see the crinkle of her eyes. Then they got sure that she was enjoying their compliments.

Feeling their appreciative gazes at her and the blooming smiles on their faces. She smiled heartedly. Her beautiful smile was so contagious that others also joined her.

"Thank Goodness. You guys aren't angry at me now. I knew it was only an act but for my prank on you guys. I had to make it up."

Aza told them.
