I Hate To Admit

They passed knowing looks. Nodding their head.

"Since Sylius is done with his drama. What are we waiting here for? Queen Elizabeth to come and invite us for lunch at Buckingham Palace or The President of the USA asking us out at the White House." Aiden scoffed as he took his bag from the ground.

Lucas took out his phone and saw the time, "I wouldn't like to bring it up now but I have to. The lunch break will end up in 30 minutes so if we want to eat anything. We should better get going rather than standing and pretending to be the 'Statue of Liberty'."

Hearing his brother, they were saddened and grimaced when they imagined that they had to stay hungry till their last class which will only end around 5 pm.

Sylius hurriedly began to pack his stuff and left the room without a word. While his brothers stood there with ashen faces.

"Did you see?"

"I never thought he would choose food over his blooded brothers."

Kaden shrugged off, "I didn't doubt that he wouldn't. You were the fools to have such delusional thoughts like that."

He also walked by, leaving them alone.

"I hate to admit and accept them as my brothers."

"I am never going to help them. Let them beg."

"Bro, you think Kaden would need your aid?" This struck them with realisation.

Lucas coughed to hide his embarrassment, "You little fool!! I made a slip of tongue and because of it, you are trying to humiliate your older brother!! You ungrateful brat !!!"

Lucas hit Ryan on his head. Ryan glared at him accusingly, "Why are you beating me? You just don't dare to accept the truth." It boiled the steaming anger within Lucas furthermore.

Just when Lucas was about to grant his little brother another hit. Aiden came in between them and this distracted them. They diverted their gazes and Aiden had to undergo double torture.

"ENOUGH!" Aiden banged his palms on the wooden desk. The professor had left them in the room as she had been summoned by the Dean. Tasha was honestly surprised after she got called out by the Dean of the University.

Tasha disappeared from the room as there was still time left before the lunch period would be over. Aiden had seen her going out and hence he did not have to be a worrywart and could even beat his brothers. He didn't have Tasha's attention centred on their group.

In the beginning, he wondered if one of his brothers had stolen her heart and she couldn't stop staring at him. He might appear like an arrogant guy to think in such a way but he had his reasons. Also, Tasha was in her late twenties, not her fifties however, his worries were useless since Tasha was already married, he saw a shining reflection around her ring finger then he confirmed it to be a wedding ring.

Why did he do that?

Aiden had his guesses like these only since it had happened in the past so many times that the first thought which comes up to him is the same as the current one.

Before Aiden could speak another word, he noticed that he was the only one in the room while his brothers had gone for long.

It irked him how his younger siblings had taken off without thinking about him. He cursed and swore at them as he took slow and weak steps.

Just the moment when he was about to turn right, he observed something that surprised him and he screamed.

"GHOSTS!!"

To his luck the corridor was vacant. It saved him from a big shame. If the other students saw him, yelling like that, he wouldn't have the boldness to show his face again. He might have made himself a laughing stock by his hands.

"Geez…. What happened to you?"

Lucas said as he uncovered his ears.

Ryan uncovered his ears, "Lucas, it is simply the after-effects of watching too many horror shows. You guys might have the ability to sleep even in a rock concert but I can't get any sleep if I hear someone mumbling and trembling."

While Kaden didn't take any notice of his brothers and kept listening to music with his earphones. Aiden's loud shouts did disrupt him but he couldn't frighten over his elder brother's absurdity and idiocy.

"Why are you guys still here?" Aiden asked as he recovered from his mini shock.

Kaden stares at him with an unreadable emotion that is concealed within the abyss of his eyes.

Creases and frowns decided to rule over Aiden as he furrowed his eyebrows. Strangely, he felt like his youngest brother had got more manly.

'....What the hec-- am I thinking?' He chastised himself for having bad thoughts.

"Owww....Why did you pinch me?" Aiden furiously rubbed his right arm where Lucas had pinched him.

Ryan slicked back his hair roughly in distress, "I am done with this guy. Later tonight, I will call mom and dad telling them to remove his name from our family register."

Lucas nodded his head at his brother's advice.

Kaden took his earphones out and tucked his hands in his jeans, "Seems like I don't need to wait here anymore. Since my brothers will fulfil their stomachs with bickering and arguments. I should go."

He strode towards the canteen, leaving his aghast brothers behind.

"..mhmm.." Grace burped and moved her hand in circles over her flat and toned belly.

Sarah rotated her head around when she heard a game melody. Her gaze landed on Athena, occupied with her phone. She leaned into her.

Sarah saw Athena was doing her daily tasks of the game.

"I finished all my daily tasks last night." She cheekily whispered in Athena's ears.

Sarah's attention went to others.

Just as Athena was about to log out from the game. She saw a new message indication in her message dropbox. She clicked on the yellow icon. A list of many unread messages opened. She clicked on the first one.

Handsome_Wolf: Are you in for a quest?

Mystical_Foxy: Depends. Tell me more

The reply came sooner than she expected.

Handsome_Wolf: Meet me outside the main palace tonight at 8.

Athena did not ponder and gave her response.

Mystical_Foxy: Will try.

Her words were, as usual, short but concise. Then she logged out of the game. She looked at her friends chatting and enjoying. She had time to kill so she opened the online reading platform, 'ReadOnline'. She found this app through Sarah. She was the one to explain this to her.

She opened the app and went into 'My Library Section'. She observed that many of her regular reading books have been updated. She clicked on one of them and began to read it to pass off her time.
