Two Geniuses

A total week had passed since the first weapon class that Xiang Xiang taught and she was rather impressed by the performance of all the villagers. She taught all four of the weapon class the day after each other and let everyone spar.

In the midst of the sparring, she noticed two villagers who were excelling in their weapon classes. One of them used a spear and was 17, his name was Lin Xun, while the other villager was one who used a sword and was 16, his name was Ja Feng.

Today was the day where everyone would spar with each other, like a big competition. Each of the villagers were excited to spar with each other and learn pointers that would help them improve their talent.

"Who do you think will come out on top, Lin Xun or Ja Feng?"

"Obviously Lin Xun, have you seen what he looks like?"

"We're not talking about looks right now, Lin Xun won't even hold a candle to Ja Feng in terms of strength."

"What's so good about those two, we all started cultivating at the same time. I can become a genius just like them if I try hard enough."

"Shut up."

"Yeah, be quiet!"

"..."

Xiang Xiang slowly opened her eyes as a smirk appeared on her face. She had just finished cultivating and felt an intense warmth in her body, signaling that she broke through to the next stage of the Qi Refining realm.

'My cultivation speed is terrifying. Anyways, I think it's time to start this tournament of sorts.' Xiang Xiang thought as she clenched her fists with an excited expression...

"All of you have gathered here today to witness the first tournament of this village, though unfortunately, this tournament only consists of you all who use a specific weapon.

But do not worry, the next tournament will be even grander than this, I can guarantee it. More people who use various weapons will be able to attend it. Now that I've gotten that out of the way, allow me to announce the rules.

Every move you can think of is allowed in this tournament, but severely injuring your opponent will disqualify you. And if you willingly submit, are cornered, or kicked out of the stage, then you've lost the match."

Xiang Xiang made a brief speech while looking at the crowd of villagers. The stage she referred to in the speech was something she spent the entire week building just for this moment.

It was made out of stone she found behind the hill and was evenly cut. It was the size of a football field and had enough space to allow over 20 people to fight at once.

She condensed her Killer Qi into a multitude of unusual weapons and tools just to carve the stadium into a perfect shape and add different designs. Whenever she looked at it, she felt proud.

The crowd of villagers who couldn't participate roared in excitement when listening to Xiang Xiang's speech. Although they couldn't participate in this tournament, they'd be able to participate in the next one.

Some of the villagers were already anticipating the moment where they'd step onto the stadium and engage in an amazing battle with all types of people who used all types of weapons.

Needless to say, this was a very efficient way of cultivating soldiers and subordinates without boring them or stressing them out. These villagers, after all, had nothing else to do and were just taking care of the village.

If Xiang Xiang hadn't informed them of the coming change in the world, they'd be swallowed up without even knowing what happened.

"Let the tournament begin!" Xiang Xiang said as she raised her hand in the air, condensing 4 rapiers and shot them into the sky. They each fell at the corners of the stadium, greatly impressing the villagers watching the performance.

"I want to be like Miss Xiang Xiang!"

"Me too!"

"I want to make weapons out of thin air like Miss Xiang Xiang too!"

"She's so cool!"

"I want to make babies with Miss Xiang Xiang!"

"Huh? But she's a woman?"

"...So?! If we try hard enough, maybe two women can make a baby!"

"..."

Various villagers said various things, invoking suspicion or confusion in other people's hearts.

Finally, after a few minutes, the villagers quieted down and someone from next to the stadium shouted out random numbers.

"Number 46, and Number 12! Ascend the stadium and prepare for battle!" It was another villager who was sitting at a table with a metal bowl containing papers with numbers on them.

He dug his hand around and pulled out two pieces of paper; one after the other.

Suddenly, two men came on stage wearing robes that some of the villagers hadn't seen before.

"What are those magnificent robes?" One villager whispered to the other.

"Oh, those are the new robes that Xin Xu handmade. Despite being a leather worker her whole life, even she was surprised when she finished making the robes. She had never seen something so amazing as well."

The wind blew gently as the robes of the two men gently fluttered in the air. They each had excited looks on their faces as their eyes met. The man on the left drew his sword as the man on the right drew his spear.

They stared deeply at each other, waiting for the villager responsible for arranging the matches to speak.

"FIGHT!" The villager shouted with an excited look on his face as well. He couldn't hold back his excitement.

As soon as the two opponents heard the man speak, they gripped their weapons tightly and approached each other with amazing speed. Their bodies were amazingly defined thanks to the sparring and exercising for an entire week.

The crowd of people spectating the fight grew excited as the opponents approached each other and clashed. The man on the left waved his sword with amazing speed, but the man on the right didn't waste any time either.

The sword clashed with the spear's blade, letting out a loud noise of metal clanking.

"Amazing!" Someone muttered.
