"Then why the fuck did he tell you to wear casual clothes?" Jennifer questioned seeing the limo and then remembering what Helen will be wearing tonight. "Is this not giving confusing vibes to anyone else? I would not be wearing no casual clothes in no fancy-ass limousine."
"He told me causal clothes and that's what I'll be wearing tonight," Helen said moving away from the window. If she stood there with them any longer she'll be much later than she already was.
She should make it a goal to be more active on a day like this where she knew she had a date but just lazed around the entire day. There was still no regret for doing it either.
"Is my hair almost done, Julie?" She asked sitting back down by the vanity. Thankfully, she placed the leather boots beside the vanity earlier.
"Almost," Julie answered hurrying back to Helen's side. Now she was working in a different gear to get Helen ready so she could go meet the man downstairs. "You two! Snap out of it. Jennifer, finish her makeup. Isabelle, bring her clothes closer for her to hop in when I'm done. Grab her purse after you're down and put everything she needs inside. Go go go, ladies!"
"You might be late but you'll be fashionably late," Jennifer stated returning to finish the makeup.
"Hey Helen, I know this might be the wrong time to ask this but can you get me an up-close picture of him? The ones I see online are far away. What?" Questioned Isabelle who was confused at why they were all staring at her like she had a third eye.
"Seriously Isabelle?" Asked Jennifer. And they said she was the annoying one who never took anything seriously. "Rule number one for liking someone like Eli King or your precious Kevin, they have people constantly asking for photos. They enjoy having a normal conversation without being asked for one. Show them you can be more than a fan."
"It's just a photo," Isabelle replied laying out Helen's outfit on a chair. "One photo can't hurt. What would you know about what they want anyway? Your family isn't in the public eye like that."
"I grew up around a lot of those celebrity people and they always say they're annoyed with being friends or in a relationship with someone who just likes the celebrity side of them. Trust me, they hate being asked for a photo all the damn time."
"They always take pictures when you ask for one."
"Because they're in the public eye. If they voice their opinion about not wanting pictures or feeling uncomfortable or maybe call you guys weirdos, you fangirls and boys get upset as if you own them and they should obey your every word. News flash, they do not belong to you," Jennifer paused doing Helen's makeup just to set the record straight.
"Guys," Helen tried to interject their little moment but they instead ignored her and carried one with their rant.
"Obviously we don't own them but not all of us try to make them take pictures. I know when to back off," Isabelle retorted not liking being alluded to being a crazy fan.
"My point is Helen is not going to ask Eli for a picture to please you. It's not like he's even a model or actor for you to need his picture. He's a businessman. You just want a picture to post on your little celebrity fan page because he's trending. End of discussion."
"That's Helen's choice to agree or disagree."
"Will you two just shut the hell up!" Julie exclaimed reaching her limit with the two. She could feel her left eye twitching out of anger. Were they planning to continue this conversation forever?
To think this all started over asking for a damn picture which was weird to ask for in this early stage of getting to know each other but Julie wouldn't say it out loud in order to dead the conversation.
"Oww," Helen whined when Julie accidentally let the flat iron touch Helen's ear. Julie was supposed to be punishing Jennifer and Isabelle, not her.
"Oops sorry," Julie apologized and moved the flat iron away from Helen's head. Seeing Helen not whining about the burn anymore she focused on the two fools in the room. "You two are here to help Helen get ready for this date and there's barely any time left. Are you seriously going to argue about a damn picture?"
Jennifer rolled her eyes still feeling annoyed and bit her tongue from saying anything else to Isabelle. Instead, she apologized to Helen, "I'm sorry."
"I'm sorry too Helen," Isabelle apologetically said feeling bad. Among all the girls here she believed herself to be the one closer to Helen and yet instead of helping her get ready, Isabelle was getting ready to have a full argument with Jennifer.
"It's okay. Sorry, Bella but I'm not asking someone I barely know if he'll like it or not for a picture. I would honestly feel weird if I were in his shoes. And you two need to coexist and converse better. You make things awkward for me and Julie," Helen honestly stated. She couldn't handle having two friends who bicker with each other so much.
She continued to say, "If you both stop being so defensive I'm sure you'll realize how much fun the both of you have together."
Isabella and Jennifer both glanced at each other with uncomfortable expressions on their faces. They were still annoyed with each other but were growing tired of all the nitpicking when they could be having more fun. They just couldn't help butting heads.
"I told you before Helen, we should just drop off these two and start a new friend group. We're the fun ones anyway," Julie proclaimed putting down the flat iron. She was almost done with Helen's hair and just needed to add some curls. "Go put on the clothes and then sit back down for me to add some quick curls."
"You're the fun one?" Jennifer laughed obnoxiously out loud at Julie's ridiculous statement.
"Miss if her hair gets ruined she starts crying and kills the vibe?" Isabelle said jumping in as she also didn't see Julie as the fun one along with Helen.
"That can't be the same Julie who is allegedly fun," Jennifer spoke folding her hands and looked towards Isabelle who smiled in return.
"Ladies, please. I think we're all the fun ones," Helen told the group before they could start another debate.
