The Coming Back 3

The group was enjoying the train ride. It could be their last ride together, especially for Tarou. If he goes back to the land he won't be able to leave again.

Suddenly Anna called for him:

- Tarou, Let's exchange between our sites. I want to talk to Dylan for a bit.

Tarou stood up right away:

- I think our conversation will end here.

- WAIT! ARE YOU GOING? Didn't you say we have a lot to catch up on?

- Maybe another time.

Anna sat in her son's seat, and then she noticed that Dylan was pissed:

- Why do you look annoyed?

- I feel betrayed.

- Why? Don't you want me to sit beside you?

- Auntie, it's obvious. You did it for Tarou to be with Sarra.

Anna smiled while patting his head:

- You are smart as usual. But that's not the only reason. I wanted to talk to you...I have a lot of questions to ask.

- You can ask me anything you want...

Anna seemed hesitant, she was rubbing her hands out of nervousness.

- W...What did happen to Tarou and Aaron after that I left the land?

Dylan looked surprised that Anna asked him that question.

- Why you didn't ask Aaron or Tarou about it?

- I want to hear it from you...a close friend to them. They won't tell me the truth...

- Well, it is nothing much...Aaron lost all his memories of you. As for Tarou, he blamed himself a lot for what did happen that night.

- Why?

- He was the one that told his father about your running away plan. He thought that Alan will bring you back, but when he came back with only Aaron, it was such a big shock to him. He thought that you decided to...to...

- To abandon them...

Anna felt stuffed when she heard that. She took some glimpses at Tarou while feeling sorry about it.

- Did you know why I decided to come along?

- To look for the cure?

- No...To fix what did happen that night. I will make sure to make everything right before I die...

Tarou sat beside Sarra, who was reading a book. She pretended to keep reading without looking at him.

He smiled, then he leaned on her:

- This reminds me of the first time we met.

- Yes, it was quite like this, but this time you don't hate me. Do you?

Sarra looked at Tarou with her green shining eyes, which made him nervous.

He backed off while trying to act normal:

- I have never hated you, I was just cautious. By the way, you didn't tell me how we met before, It was when I went on a mission ten years ago, isn't it?

- Yes, it was back there.

- Tell me how.

Sarra looked out the window to avoid eye contact with him:

- You should remember it yourself.

Tarou kept staring at Sarra's long black hair. He saw it in the past, but when? And where?

Sarra could feel his gaze:

- Stop it. You will make a hole in my head

- I'm just remembering as you said.

Sarra closed her eyes:

- I'm tired. I'm going to sleep for a little bit. I didn't sleep last night.

After some moments, she went into a deep sleep. When her head leaned on the window, Tarou held it gently and put it on his shoulder.

" She seems very tired, what was she doing last night?"

After a couple of hours, they arrived. Sarra opened her eyes slowly, she was drooling on Tarou's shoulder. When she recognized it, she jumped from her seat out of embarrassment.

- HOW...HOW LONG HAVE I BEEN SLEEPING?

Tarou could barely hold his laughter:

- We already arrived.

She took her bag and got down from the train quickly

" How embarrassing! How did I end up on his shoulder? I should have held myself back from sleeping."

- WAIT FOR ME!

Everyone got off the train and gathered in front of the station.

Diana looked extremely excited:

- So, what's the next move?

Tarou pointed at the big mountain ahead of them:

- We must climb that mountain over there. When we will be completely out of sight, we will use our power and go directly to the land.

Dylan turned around and walked in the opposite direction.

- Where are you going?

- Let's eat something, please. I'm very hungry. I won't be able to climb that mountain on an empty stomach.

- Fine, the journey won't be easy, we need the energy to climb and to use our power.

They went to a nearby restaurant and ate until their stomach was full.

- If you finished, let's go. We don't have much time to waste here.

- Wait, Tarou! Where is Dylan?

- He disappeared a while ago... Oh, there he is coming... Where did you go, Dylan?

- I'm sorry guys for making you wait, I went to the restroom. If you already finished eating, let's go.

They went to the mountain and started climbing.

Tarou carried Anna, Aaron helped Diana to overcome difficult areas, Sarra was floating above their heads, and Dylan...Where is Dylan?

He was behind, struggling alone.

- COME ON, GUYS...S...SOMEONE HELPS ME.

Shouted Dylan.

Aaron kept checking on him:

- He is so weak, I mean, a 10-year-old boy can do it.

- I CAN HEAR YOU, YOU KNOW.

- Well, he has at least strong hearing.

Replied Tarou

- Sarra can you please help me? You are on your own. I'm really tired, please.

Sarra felt guilty when she saw him losing his breath. She popped in front of him:

- Hold my hand.

Dylan reached his hand to her, but someone else grabbed his hand instead.

It was Tarou:

- I will carry you, my best friend. You can help Anna instead, Sarra. Don't use too much magic, you must keep it for the big trip.

After saying those words, Tarou pulled Dylan up violently.

- WAIT....OUCH....YOU ARE HURTING ME.

- Just shut up. We still didn't get into the hard part and yet you are whining like a child...

At the end of the day, they reached the top of the mountain.

- WOW! How can that be possible?

Diana and Sarra were amazed that the other side of the mountain and everything ahead was covered with snow. It was like two different seasons in the same place.

Tarou spread his big wings while looking at the horizon.

- Everyone, are you ready? The adventure will begin...
