...The Way To India...

After getting the golden sands, the group went immediately to the airport.

- HURRY UP, THE PLANE WILL SOON DEPART!

Fortunately, they succeeded in going on board, on time, and heading towards India without losing another day.

Aaron and his daughter were invisible as usual while Dylan sat beside Laila. This time he was more comfortable. He got used to it. Besides, it appeared that traveling on a plane was much better than riding a boat.

- I can't believe that I'm going to say this, but I'm happy to ride a plane

- I see that you started enjoying flights.

- Never, but after that horrible experience on the boat, I appreciated more the plane.

Laila smiled:

- This is good news, I guess.

Dylan covered his eyes :

- I will have some sleep.

Laila has been feeling nervous since she woke up after losing her consciousness. They headed directly towards the airport and took the flight. She didn't get the chance to know what did happen in the Royal tomb. Also, since their departure from Jordan. Dylan seemed a little bit distant.

" Did I do something wrong? Was it because I held his hand? He usually won't miss a chance like this to talk to me or ask me about my past. Why he suddenly ignores me?

- So, what did happen exactly when I passed out? What did the mummy give you? What was the third clue?

Dylan looked at her without saying a word, then he smiled at her.

- When Aaron said that I nearly killed him, weren't you curious to know the story?

Laila got confused because of the sudden change in the conversation. Indeed, she was very curious, but she didn't want to annoy him with her questions. So, this was a chance to know the truth.

- Wasn't he joking?

- No, He wasn't. Ten years ago I nearly killed Aaron, Tarou, and my sister.

Laila became very surprised:

- Really? Why?

- Because I was the bad guy.

Those words made Laila very nervous.

" Why would he say such a thing to me? "

- The bad guy!

- I wanted to bring back my dead girlfriend to life.

It is shocking, isn't it?

- Can that be possible?

- Well, to do that I needed a witch body. So, I was searching for one until I found Sarra. She was traveling by coincidence with Dylan and Aaron. I followed them, then I used our friendship to travel along with them. I even went back to the place that I hated the most, and I took advantage of their mother's sickness to gain their trust. I did quite horrible things.

Laila was listening non believing what Dylan was telling her.

- You did all of that?

- Strange, isn't it? I had a goal to reach and I did everything I could to succeed. I didn't care about anyone. All I was hoping for was to see Katrina's face again, even if it means killing my best friend and his lover.

Laila suddenly felt something strange in his looks towards her:

- Y.....You shouldn't tell such a story to anybody.

- I just wanted to tell you that if a person was determined to do something, he will become blinded by his desire and he could hurt people around him without realizing it.

- What do you mean?

- I mean that I practically know all the tricks that someone can use to deceive people around him. but I was smart enough to not get caught, unlike you.

Laila flinched, she didn't expect to hear such a thing.

- I...I don't understand what you are saying.

- How did you know that the mummy gave us something while you were unconscious.

Laila became even more surprised.

" How could I make such a stupid mistake?"

She tried to not get nervous and put a smile on her face.

- Wasn't that obvious? I don't think that the mummy will go back to life for nothing. am I not right?

- So you will keep denying it! Alright, I won't push you further. You can tell me whenever you feel ready. I believe that there is no a bad nor a good person. We all make mistakes and we can fix them at some point. But keep in your mind that, if Tarou got hurt in any way because of you, you will see what a monster can do for real.

Laila's heart was about to jump out of her chest. That was the first time she saw those scary looks coming from Dylan. Since they met, he kept smiling at her. even if sometimes he was faking it, that smile made her somehow relieved.

She looked out the window without saying any other word till their arrival in India.
